Its fall and with so many wanting clean energy and worried about electric cars , here is a bit of trivia.....Decaying dead plants and leaves, known as plant litter, release 60 petagrams of carbon into the atmosphere every year – six times more than all human emissions – and contribute around 10% of the total amount of carbon in the atmosphere.

After a disasterous winter i lost my breeding flock of Lamonas . However having eggs in the incubator , i pulled off a high percentage hatch . This is some of the January hatch pullets coming up. They are looking really good. Tails will come up once they start laying . Thanks to some good friends and a few people i gave a start to i have more than enough to breed from and will keep this line going . I have not decided if i will show them this year or not . If i do it will only be a couple

Never keep your eggs in 1 basket. We were hit by a Predator and to a major hit to the Lamona breeding program ..luckily we keep them in 3 separate locations , but have lost some foundation females, and will not be selling any eggs or Lamona fowl until we build back up ..feel free to inquire and i will update . We still have enough stock to exhibit and are planning on the IA state fair and some fall shows including the Ohio Nationals
