📚🐾 VMCVM Mentor Day Success! 🎉👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

What an incredible turnout for our Mentor Day activities! After a morning of successful one-on-one meetings, our DVM students and veterinary mentors packed the room for an engaging Q&A session. The energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring!

A huge thank you to all the mentors who've taken time out of their busy schedules to support our future veterinarians. Your guidance and experience are invaluable!

We had a wonderful time at the 15th Annual Davis-Michael Veterinary Career Day held on September 14th at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown! 🐾🧑‍🏫

This free event was open to middle school, high school, and college students who are passionate about animals and would like to learn more about veterinary career paths. Attendees got a chance to interact and hear from WVU and other universities. Thanks to all that joined us, we can't wait for next year!

Dr. Alicia Olivier has been named associate dean for administration at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine after serving as interim associate dean since October 2023. In this role, she focuses on faculty and staff recruitment, college operations, and strategic initiatives.

A 2005 MSU CVM DVM graduate, Dr. Olivier is a board-certified anatomic pathologist and holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Her professional achievements as a leader, educator, and scientist include numerous publications, active grants, and roles in veterinary pathology organizations. This experience, along with her passion for our college, are destined to contribute to MSU CVM's future success!
