*This is what I battle every time I have to water the plants while he’s outside…. 😂 (He was toweled off and put in his crate in the AC to dry when he was done playing w the hose and playing in the puppy pool with his sister 🥰)

A good samaritan found 2 rabbits in a crate in a local cemetery and brought them to us. We have cleaned them up, trimmed their nails and gotten them some food and bedding. We will be looking for a home for them with experienced rabbit owners only. Please give us a call at 804-226-0771 during business hours to inquire.

Mason came in today to get the staples removed from his surgery last week.
A friend and client called me earlier this week about her senior boy Grayson not feeling well. (You may have seen his sweet face in yesterday’s post). He was acting a bit off, not eating much and vomiting a few hours after he did eat. We got her squeezed into an appointment slot on Wednesday with Dr. Dietrick who found a large, palpable mass in the abdomen and scheduled an exploratory laparotomy for the next day.
Once in surgery he discovered that the mass was larger than expected and intestinal versus splenic. He began removing the mass which was approximately 4-5” inches in diameter and after about an hour and a half he had surgically removed the mass, sutured the resected intestines back together, placed an omentum patch over the sutured area and closed the incision. It was time to wake Grayson up from anesthesia.
Meredith and I sat in recovery with Grayson and got his post surgical medications going and by 6 PM he was walking out the front door with his overjoyed mom! He is hanging out with us today on IV fluids for some post surgical care before the weekend.
