I am sorry to say that today our Halle crossed over the rainbow bridge. We knew this day would come but we certainly were not ready for it. Halle went as she would have wanted, she was walking with me while I set up my training scenario for my other dogs. Some part inside her just couldn’t hold up anymore so she laid down in the field, I sat there and held her, hugged her and told her I loved her till she passed.
To me Halle was a phenomenal dog, she logged over 50 Master passes and passed 4 Master National Tests landing her in the Hall of Fame. She did this as I learned how to run Hunt Test and HRC competitions, it is hard to tell what she could have done with a seasoned handler from the start. Halle was loved by our family, normally she was the first thing our granddaughters wanted to see when they arrived, the heck with grandma and grandpa. She loved to hunt, train and she loved to compete. She would never quit, no matter the conditions!
I know I will have other dogs but I’m not sure there will ever be another Halle Bear. Until I see you again Halle set steady at the line, pin all your marks and keep your blinds tight. We love you!!!!
