Emma Leigh Rogers is now a CERTIFIED FARRIER through the American Farriers Association!!!!

Certified Farriers (CF):
✅ Can accurately shoe a horse with flat keg shoes.
✅ Have an understanding of basic biomechanics and anatomy
✅Can manipulate keg shoes to accommodate simple pathologies.

Cheers to another CF in the area!!!!

Well, there is no “magic trick” to getting good, you just have to put in your hours! Thankfully Adam Fahr at River Bottom Forge has an entire line of hoof templates available on the ever amazing Well-Shod.com (As well as some drift punches, amongst an abundant tool selection by many other skilled tradesmen!)🐴🇺🇸

Whatever the reason, be that pursuing a certification with American Farrier's Association attenting a local contest, or just feeling a little burnt out and stuck in the same rutine, go grab a template and spend some time having fun with your trade, feeling the satisfaction from accomplishing a goal and putting in effort that pays off!!! 🫵💪☺️

Msssive, massive shout out to Adam Fahr and Lyle Shepherd, without them I probably would’ve tucked tail and run when I saw the shoe list. 😅 Instead, with their help, I put myself way out of my comfort zone and had an absolute blast while doing it. I could not be happier with the results 😊

And of course, THANK YOU to everyone who has a hand with putting on these World Championship Blacksmiths contests. It is a massive undertaking, and I am incredibly grateful that an organization like this exists. This is truly the most amazing and supportive group of professionals I have ever witnessed.
