We are a No Kill 501(c)3 Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization. We rescue everything from Chihuahua's to American Pit bull Terriers! We rescue them from high kill shelters, off the busy streets of South Florida & take in owner surrenders. The animals get a vet check and are administered any medications if needed, are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered, put on heartworm/flea & tick preventatives. Our rescued dogs are evaluated and rehabilitated.

Found as a stray for the second time in a month. Malnourished, long nails, uncared for. So he needs a new home that will appreciate having this senior as a great companion. We named him Gunny. Someone's loss will be another's treasure 🥰 If you are interested in Gunny's wellbeing and would love to foster or adopt this sweet boy contact us. Located at Walton County Animal Shelter in Defuniak, Fl.

Penelope is roughly 5 to 6 months old. She is friendly with all dogs. Her interactions with cats are unknown. She has not been around children, but I believe she would be fine with them. She is a very sweet dog. She is currently growing up in the kennel. We are assisting to find these dogs a home. If interested we can coordinate transport. Located: Walton County Animal Shelter located in DeFuniak Springs, Fl.

Sebastian (male) is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 yrs, hw neg, current on vaccines, good with other dogs. Loves to play, sweet and loving boy. Possible mix of great pyrenees and husky.

Sherman Tee (male) is approximately 18 mo, hw neg, current on vaccines, good with other dogs, has been with us over a month. He is just a baby and is growing up by leaps and bounds. The picture I attached is of him when he first came in and his current picture.

Orion (male) approximately 2 yrs, hw neg, current on vaccines, good with other dogs. He is a shy boy but has come a long way in the last 4 months hes been with us. He loves to play and absolutely loves the water!

Kylie and Apollo are on their freedom ride this morning from Companion Animal Care and Education in Tennessee to a foster in Homestead Fl. It's a long ride and want to thank all who are volunteering their time today and tomorrow to do this. A BIG thoughtful Thank you to Janet Dattilo for being their voice and insisting they travel together due to all the hardship they have been through. We will keep updating until they reach their final destination. Thank you and we speak for the dogs owner who is serving in the military 🇺🇲

Macho is still up for adoption! This senior who acts like a 3 yr old has been waiting for 1 yr now and no interest shown. He's a cool dog loves to co pilot in car rides and lean on the door chilling. He is dog selective which is the part why we can't find a home because every dog lover has a current dog. As time goes by its gerring harder to place dogs😟

Watching Rocky for the long weekend. I know they say dog amputee recover and use 3 limbs without a problem, but I've witnessed with Rocky it does impact them mentally and physically especially with his body structure. He is top heavy and it's not that easy to maneuver. We are keeping his weight down and giving him joint support. Recovery for him is a process. Thank you for all who supported his journey.

Happy Birthday Machito!! He turns 8yrs old today and still waiting for a furever home! Can you believe it? We can't! Please share far and wide! He deserves the best all my rescue dogs do! Through the years I can't complain. So, let's do this and find him a new home soon!! Contact us for a meet and greet!

Rocky is doing well gettng around on his 3 legs. Thank you to all who donated towards his surgery! The family is grateful for the help and support they received and could not thank all of you enough! 1 Lucky Dog Rescue wants to keep the community hopeful that we can help a family in crisis with a pet emergency like this. We need full support and proper funding to do more with our Community Reach Out Project for families like Rocky.
