I have some exciting news! We have decided to do a face-lift!

I've been debating about changing my business name for some time now, but never knew what or how. After thinking about our original name, though, I noticed many possible clients were confusing the syllables and what my job was as the trainer. With the word performance, many people that would have come backed down to this one word sounding overbearing or as if I only supported the showing community.

This was definitely not true, and I most certainly enjoy all types of training. I love the show pen but also know that the therapy from a trail ride is also important. I actually prefer the young ones where I am allowed to find what they will excel in. I think of horses a lot like people. Not all of us are the same nor have remotely the same interests. We typically really only succeed when we feel passionate about something, same with the horse. I've seen too many oh, he loves___. But yet the horse is swishing his tail, ears back, and eyes perplexed. Knowing your horse is the biggest part of being the best horseman you can be.

So I decided to change the name! I wanted something that was knowledgeable, but inviting, great quality, but not snobby. So here we are sending off with Top Tier Horsemanship.

Happy Monday Y'all! I hope everyone is enjoying life, taking the moments they can, and going day by day, taking in the little things. Cause it's the little things that matter and make a difference.

So if you want a challenge this week with your life or horsemanship, take a moment to write down all the little things that happened but made such a big impact to your day and overall happiness. A few things I had on my notes last week was hearing the birds chirping and the breeze blowing through our porch as I had a cup of coffee, how well fancy lifted her feet, the sunshine, hearing from tads new owner and seeing a picture of them, and going ride with Easton in the tractor.

Comment below the little things that impacted you, and try to start noticing more good every day! Ours lives can be peaches and cream if that's what we choose to focus on and embrace.

Fancy update! This baby horse has come back from her baby break so much more confident and with a can-do attitude! We completed our first true walk/trot session today, working through all the transitions and change of direction. To say I'm proud of this filly is an understatement.She went from her cowy quick and reactive thinking to being sweet and docile with so much less worry. We both have made each other better, and I'm so excited for the process that comes with training these young horses! Yes, the end goals are nice, but the small milestones are what sends me over the edge with excitement and joy, as good building blocks will create a solid foundation.

Happy Monday everyone, hope the weekend treated ya nicely. I chose this quote because I find it very important to live in the present and look to your future. Everything I do in my day is to better my future. While the future is important, it's also important how you feel right now, that you are happy. Recently, I may have become a little obsessed with getting so healthy physically and mentally that I've started to live in those states of mind. Not that physical and mental health isn't important, it most definitely is. But you also gotta cut yourself some slack sometimes and just go with what the day has in store.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather.

I have had some wonderful opportunities come across my path the last month and with astounding progression. From taking on a position at a therapeutic riding center to landing my first ambassador role.

I have also encountered a lot of decision-making and realization. Unfortunately, there are no light decisions and all impacting the future outcome with great intensity.

Praying to God I'm making the right decisions. 🙏😞💕

Baby horse is back in training! With leaps and bounds of proudness, she has provided me!

Back in January, she was starting to become hard to catch, like I've never experienced before. Which was great as I feel like she challenged me on a whole new level, and we eventually worked out the differences and ended on a great note.

But with fancy still being so young and insecure, we decided to give fancy what we like to call "her baby break" for the last few months. Changed some things with her pasturing routine, and made today her first day back in big girl training!

I am so grateful for this mare! She is truly a one of a kind and I know she has so much more left to teach me! So stay tuned for Fancy updates!

I got tuned in to my notebook Saturday when I was planning this week and I Started rambling to myself of ways I can become better for each part of my life through my relationship, my riding, my personal development, my work, etc. And I instantly thought of it's never too late and I had something after it but, I forgot. So honestly, I turned to the internet and looked up quotes containing. It's never too late. And?
As I read through all the "it's never too late" quotes, I noticed that it's never too late for anything.
It's never too late
to start over
to apologize
to love more
to forgive
to become better
to learn
And the list continued on to pretty much anything you could think of to fill in that blank. Hence, my quote today being so simple and open-ended. This one is for you to simply figure out what it is in your life you need to start.

Tad and I have been having some wonderful sessions! A happy boy and a well worked arena. Unfortunately, no video help, so you'll have to take my word that Tad has been putting in his all prepping for our first clinic since 2020! I look forward to riding with the Goodings once again this weekend! 🤠

Happy Monday, Y'all! Hope everyone enjoyed our last little bit of warmth over the weekend. Even though the weather doesn't look too good and some of us are limited to an outdoor arena, keep pushing through and striving to get some horsemanship homework done!

Maybe take a break to the ground, try something new, simply groom and bond, or do some body work. As much as we all can get excited about riding and the things we can achieve, sometimes the limitation to ride is the best for us because it reminds us that the little things are also very important! Take time this week to do one of these things, and I'd love to hear how your next ride goes! Comment below or send me a PM.

Dreams aren't made overnight. They take years. So don't stop pushing. Your ending will be well worth the time, blood, sweat, tears, and self-doubts. Don't be discouraged. Anyone who has had success or grown has struggled through all of them.

LIFE... is full of all sorts of events and emotions. Sometimes, a wonderful opportunity can be exciting. Sometimes, a tragic accident can be depressing. Sometimes, a person can do a good deed and make you feel on top of the world, while sometimes another person can say a hurtful thing and make you feel like you are worthless.

You take the emotions and tramas to learn from them. Life is full of them, and none of us will get anywhere without some way to cope or process what came out of the situation. Easton is, of course, my first option when I need the vocalizing reassurance or intimate touch. But when I don't know what to say, when I don't have all my thoughts in a row or simply just need their fur and aroma to cry into, I head to my Tad. We have been a team for the last 8 years and have faced many battles together. Sometimes, just looking into their deep brown eyes can settle the hoof beats racing in our hearts.❤️

Happy Monday, Y'all! ☀️ Get out there and push yourself this week. It may not be much but just enough to not settle for less.

We are constantly throwing new things at our horses. From new drills to different cues, new environments to different sounds, new questions to different a answer, and the list goes on. We are always trying the new and different because we are trying to figure out what works for our horses and what we can do to make both of us more successful.

In hard times, our horses try, fail, and keep trying for us. I can't think a time in my training when I've asked a horse a new question and have git a flawless A+ on what I was asking. So, how about we get out there, try, fail, and come back, trying even harder!

Happy Monday, Y'all! So blessed we had such a sunny and warm weekend, with better weather for this week!

For this week's quote, I chose something that hit home in a lot of places for me recently. Not just an old friend who was always by my side helping each other out, but a giant picture of everyone who has accepted my help and has also offered help. Helping others shows you know how to care and acceptance shows you know how to receive open heartedly.

While this is great, we also have to cherish our own happiness and do something that will make us happy under total intuition. Nothing to overthink, stress, or contemplate. "To just do it," as Nike would state.

Hope yall are achieving a lot in the increments of training we are receiving, especially for those without an indoor here in Michigan.

Happy Monday, yall! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

This quote hit me hard today, not even just specifically with horses but life in general and how a horse is so much more loving and caring than we give them credit for sometimes. I also realized that they show light on things we don't understand or know until a soft touch from their muzzle, nuzzles us in the right direction, or their enormous energy and strength running through the snow, thrust us forward to a new view. Thank God for these beloved animals and my man! 💕

Here is to another week! The week before Christmas. Christmas is a time of year that brings happiness, joy, and love to everyone around the world. This quote hit me a little hard, and I thought it'd be a great one to share.
People may not always be rooting for you as they should be nor do many want to see you grow, however, the ones that don't provide the support and happiness in your success are the ones who want you to stay below them, the ones who get threatened when you show your potential. They are not worth your time and thought. So do myself and you a favor, begin one's journey in 2024 with a new mind... don't drag these people into and through another year.

We added in a 4th pole today and he seemed to take to it very well. It took him a time or two to place his feet right but once he got it, he floated over them effortlessly. Once he got his footing placement correct I started to become a little picker with how he approached and exited the poles. With his approach he began to lean to one side so I started pointing him toward the right side so Instead of kicking him over I just shifted my middle of the pole to the left side. So by the time we had hit the second pole he was in the middle, eventually he began to go straight because he realized how hard it was to move laterally while going over the poles. Then toward the end he started gainibg speed after the last pole so a few stride after I'd bring his gait down. Eventually he started to think about the process. He noticed the poles never tried to hurt him so therefore there was no reason to run from them, being straight helped him maintain balance and he didn't have to work as hard, he also saw that when he didn't pick his feet up and stay loping he was just creating more work for the both of us. In order to solve any problem with a horse, I feel like you have to look at it through the horses eyes. What is it that is making him react this way? Are the shadows seen differently from his view? Am I doing something that is preventing from him moving correctly? Am I tensing up making him think its a predator?
