Massive Christmas Sale!

Here at Highland Pet Resort we have a small store that pretty much no one knows about haha. So we're trying to unload some of our inventory! All Christmas stuff is 20% off and we've marked almost everything else down in our store. Some items are as much as 70% off! - the best times for us to come shop are approximately 11am - 5pm Mon-Sat. Apologies to everyone, we just realized our 2024 rates and info never properly uploaded into the photo album that they should have been in. Want to make sure everything is easy to find! It's been like that for about 7 months now so we're so sorry!

Also would like to post our closing dates for 2025 for everyone to have. (please mark it down in your calendars!):

2024 Closing Dates:
September 23rd - September 30th 2024

2025 Closing Dates:
March 29th - April 6th 2025
October 18th - October 26th 2025.

Best of Hudson Valley Voting ends in about a week! (3/31)

Normally each year we ask everyone to vote for us and we try really hard to win (since we know we're the best haha), but this year we decided not to make the effort. Unfortunately last year we figured out that the voting procedures aren't really fair and it's kind of rigged. I tried reaching out to the magazine for answers and they never responded, which showed me that they don't really care. Even though we haven't put the effort in this year we still made it to the elimination round. Thank you to everyone who has voted for us anyway! We've concluded that we don't need an award to prove that we are the best. We know how much you all appreciate us just by your glowing reviews and referrals. We appreciate you all and we will continue to grow and strive to provide the best care possible! Thank you! ❤️🐶🐱

Just a reminder that we are closing for a week!

Pet Boarding: Helpful tips and information!

WHY come to the Highland Pet Resort? There are a lot of good reasons, here are just a few:
1) Our goal is for your pet to be happy, healthy, and loved.
2) No cages or crates, they stay in actual rooms!
3) You get to bring your own stuff to make their room feel more cozy and feel more like home.
4) Pets are cared for all day long and it's included in the cost; you don't have to pay for extra walks or extra attention. We just do it because we care.
5) We cater to your pet's individual needs. They seem stressed? - extra snuggles. They won't eat? - We will try anything, including handfeeding them. They have a lot of energy? - Extra play time. They will only go the bathroom on a walk? - we go for a walk in our trails. Your dog doesn't like other dogs? - no problem! ... And the list goes on.

TIPS for boarding your dog:
1) Start young. Getting young dogs used to a boarding facility or daycare helps them adjust much easier.
2) Bring them as often as you can. Dogs that come for daycare or an overnight at least every few months helps them remember us and our routine, and makes longer trips less stressful because their boarding place is like their second home!
3) If your dog has separation anxiety at home, they will definitely have anxiety here. In these cases we always recommend calming treats or some sort of CBD product. It definitely helps (most dogs) and is an all natural alternative to vet prescribed medication.

**Thinking about boarding with us this summer? (DON'T wait to book - we are booking up now!) Now's a good time to start acclimating your pets to our facility. Come for daycare or an overnight this winter so you don't have to worry while you're on that long trip out of the country!

Want to see the place for yourself? Come for a tour! (you should always tour boarding facilities. Why? Is it loud and feel stressful? Does it reek like p*e and p**p? Do they only allow tours on a specific day and time? Do they only show you certain parts of the facility? - all of these things are red flags! The best compliments we get here at the Highland Pet Resort are, "wow it smells so good in here", and "there are animals here? It's so quiet!" - come see it for yourself!)
