How cool!!!!

Please let us share our great news, as it is with the help of our community that we have achieved this honor. On Monday, a representative of Northwest Arkansas Best Friends Society (a large, National animal support group) came to our facility to visit and to express their admiration for all the staff and volunteers have done over the past year.
Throughout the year, we have challenged ourselves to reduce the number of animals in our facility through aggressive adoption practices along with spay and neuter clinics. A volunteer couple, Peggy and Earl Wenzel, have worked with Best Friends Society, sharing information with staff and volunteers and organizing the group to meet Best Friends’ Challenges. Which we did. And here we also include those humans most important to us: our community.
21 DOGS and 13 CATS adopted last month alone! THANK YOU ADOPTERS, FOSTERS, DONATORS, people who SHARE FB POSTS, LOCAL BUSINESSES who invite us to events and fundraisers for us, CV CITY GOVERNMENT. We are humbled by the support. Thank you to our ANIMALS who entrust us with their temporary care, it is for them.
Can we squeeze in a bit more great news? GROUNDBREAKING for Barkmore Castle begins TODAY! We were endowed with the money for this by Val Pour and Lois Mock, who left CVAC substantial funds for two new buildings. Our gratefulness to them for their far reaching insight.

Algae is a plant-like organism that can grow in swimming pools and cause the water to appear discolored or cloudy. It can be caused by a number of factors, including: Low or inconsistent chlorine levels, Poor water circulation, Faulty pool filtration, Out-of-balance water chemistry, and Poor sanitation.

Algae can be treated and prevented with regular maintenance. Here are some tips to help:

Test and balance water: Test your pool's water weekly and maintain a pH of 7.2–7.6.

Check filtration: Ensure your pool's filtration system is working properly.

Brush pool surfaces: Brush the walls, floors, and steps of your pool weekly to remove algae.

Shock your pool: Shock your pool weekly to remove contaminants and clear up cloudy water.

Add algaecide: Add an algaecide to your pool after shocking to kill algae and prevent it from growing back.

Clean toys and swimwear: Before allowing toys and swimwear into your pool, clean them if they've been in natural bodies of water.

Use chlorine enhancers: Chlorine enhancers, also known as sodium bromides, can help kill algae and bacteria by accelerating chlorine levels.
