Two beautiful puppies are in a dire situation and need a new home ASAP! Mom is a Feist and dad is a rolling stone. Mom was rescued from the woods and finders had no idea she was pregnant. One has already been given away and these two are being offered "Free to good home" or to a rescue.

Blue eyed girl and the other is a male. No vetting.

BLUE/GREEN: Easter Eggers & Olive Eggers, Turkens likely.

WHITE: Leghorn mixes. Pure breds possible, Turkens likely.

BROWN: A mix of many pure bred roos & hens, Turkens likely

SMALL WHITE/OFF-WHITE: Bantam Mixes/Silkie Mixes.

We have a lot of turkens, roos and hens, so turkens are very likely from all eggs.

Also a good mix of silkie and frizzles throughout.

Pure bred Leghorn Roo and quite a few Leghorn hens. Several pure bred Leghorns likely in the white eggs. White Leghorns and Blue Breasted Brown Leghorns.

We have separated a coop of Orpingtons (Lavender, Buff and Chocolate) and a coop of Buff Brahma. They haven't been separated from the free range flock long enough to guarantee the eggs will produce pure bred...but chances are there will be some pure bred Orpingtons and Buff Brahma in those brown eggs.

I don't know who needs to hear this but...

Its real feel of 109 outside right now in southeast Texas right now. Your dog doesn't need to go with you anywhere right now.
No walks. No trips to the park or the grocery store. No extra anything where they will be outside or walking on hot pavement or left in a car.
Leave them home unless they are going to the vet or traveling with you somewhere necessary.
Outside playtime should be monitored and watched. Heat stroke happens quick for a dog and many won't know to stop playing until too late.
If you are boarding your dog anywhere in Texas make sure they do not leave your dog unattended outside.
IF your dog is kept outside PLEASE PROVIDE SHADE AND SHELTER AND FRESH COOL WATER. Baby pools are cheap at Walmart. Get them one. If your dog does suffer a heat stroke do not let them drink ice cold water. Wrap dog in cold towels and get immediately to a vet.
Be safe this summer and use common sense. Its only June

This is pretty much the closest actual animal shelter, yes woodville has a similance of one. Please spay and neuter your pets. The puppies you sell and give away are part of the problem felt world wide. Unless you are a reputable breeder, showing and placing your dogs in show homes or homes where they will be spayed and neutered...please. just. Stop.

Fun with chickens!

Night Two in the new coop and we have to go put our chickens to bed...until they know that's their safe place (to roost, eventually). We were so excited to put them to bed we were about half an hour early. They were all wound up, like they didn't know what to do, and happy to see us! In the last picture, one flew up and landed on my butt! LOL

Everyone was eventually tucked in and we'll see them again, like kids on Christmas, first thing in the morning!

Tomorrow we finish up fencing, cover it to protect from the birds and fortify it to keep the c***s out. Then the chickens get to try it out.

I'll add roosts and boxes after they move in.

We're probably more excited than they are!

When Morris passed away last year, we were blessed to have good friends bring us three of their catfish. We were heartbroken over Morris and, especially as anti-social as the new fish have been, it's been hard to get as attached to them as we were to Morris. We literally haven't even seen them since we put them in the pond! Well, today I'd like to introduce you to either Larry, his brother Darrell or his other brother Darrell.. we're not exactly sure which. But look how much they've grown!!

Went out to play with Ned and Little Foot...but could only find Little Foot!! Freaked out a little until I saw a thin black tail sticking out of this bunker, going 90 MPH. This one's a doozie...and Ned is very proud of his work!! Just look at that dirty smile...

This photo is more than just a dog with a toy in front of a tree. This photo is why we do what we do.
We were not This girls rescue. That credit goes to Anna's Angels Dog Rescue who stepped up when This girl was PUBLICLY dumped by her owner. Yes. Publicly. The owner posted how awful this sweet girl was and that she was dumping her for a slew of reasons beyond comprehension. She was dumped. And it was the volunteers that found her and got her to safety.

We were that safe place for her to show us what a wonderful dogs she truly is. A dog who just needed structure. Attention. And love. Yes. We have her that here and because she had a rescue who stood behind her when her own owner would not she is now in a forever home who understands the assignment!! Just a small piece of the journey in this girls case.

Dogs are forever. They are not an "until you are done". Forever! Part of life. Through thick and thin. Through challenges. Through setbacks. The family who said "we will love this girl forever" has already proven themselves to be all she deserves. Through the ongoing decompression and things that go with that struggle. They Said yes to a dog they never met, knowing she wasn't perfect. They accepted her and all her quirks and "baggage.
Rescue and adopting a dog is a love story you that can never compare to any other. Thank you to this family and to so many others for that leap of faith. Merry Christmas from a dog who got a second chance because there are good people out there who make this rescue world worth going through!

This is what the friday night before transport for 2 dogos looks like! 2 ..yes 2 dogo argentino are headed out to their forever homes tomorrow! Sixx and Jagger. 2 lucky dogs!
Both great in their own ways but I have to say Jagger will especially be missed. He has become a part of our household pack and we even considered adopting him ourselves but his rescue had found the perfect home for him with a lot less pups to share the love with! Can't wait to see updates of how they both blossom.

Tonight these 8 amazing pups left with their rescue to go to forever homes and fosters waiting for them. It has been amazing to get to work with these babies and learn a little more about their behaviors and personalities so they can be better placed in the right homes for them.
All these babies were saved by Anna's Angels Dog Rescue. They do all they can to save dogs from local areas and off the euthanasia list and we can't be happier to be able to work with them. Donations to this rescue I promise you are greatly needed and always go straight to the dogs. So go give their page a like and share with your friends please.
Happy Lives sweet babies. We miss y'all already but greatness awaits.

I was sick yesterday so late to post but sweet boarding pup Janice made it safely to her new family yesterday. My wonderful hubby drove her halfway there.
Pics are some photos of her here with us and then her meeting new mom and dad and her safely home by the fire. So blessed to have been part of her journey.
