Jenny of Carolina Colored Boston Terriers breeds JHC carriers, so the chance of puppies having JHC are very possible and have happened. She even bred that Mama dog again and again, after knowing this. She even headed up a committee that denounced carrier breeding and was kicked off when she was found to be doing it herself! A friend of mine got a pup from her who was blind in one eye by age of 1 and now at two has lost all of his eyesight. She spent well over $4k trying to save his eyes but with top ophthalmology specialists sadly could not. Jenny denied all test results of positive JHC, citing that the doctors didn’t know what they were doing. 🤦🏻♀️ It took her over a year and threats of legal action to offer a replacement pup, as her guarantee in her contract indicates, only to find out that she bought a cheap puppy from another breeder that was unregistered and gave that puppy as replacement. 😳 Not the actions of a reputable breeder! She took advantage of my friend who took the pup because she is older and drove a distance to pick up the puppy. Jenny doesn’t care about her puppies, just the overpriced fees she charges for her puppy mill dogs. Don’t be fooled. Feel free to contact me for more info and proof of situation.
I am always enraged when I hear stories like this about other breeders. Our goal as a breeder should be to better the breed, not just making money. Doing the right thing is not hard and testing is easy. To ignore bad results is just deplorable and greedy.
