Our sweet girl, Indigo, went over the rainbow bridge this week. While we love every dog that walks through the door, there are some that you have a stronger bond with. For some reason, some dogs will cling to certain staff, and they become their person when they board. I was that person for Indy. I can not tell you why she chose me, but from the start of her boarding journey, she made it clear that I was her person. Any time I entered the yard, I was immediately attacked with paws and kisses. I couldn't go anywhere without her following me, and she would make it clear she had to be out when I was out. Her mom would walk in the door and say "your second mom is here" She was so special to me, and my heart is broken, knowing I won't get mauled with love by her ever again. Indigo had a long and beautiful life. She was well loved, but it was time for her to rest. I am always thankful for the time I get with these dogs, but I am extra thankful for the honor of being her person away from home. Thank you for the years of love, Indy girl. Rest easy.
