We took in a sick litter of babies today. ☹️ They are malnourished, have upper respiratory infections, are anemic, and have severe eye infections. Unfortunately, one of the litter was unable to survive due to illness.

These remaining kittens have been given proper veterinarian care and we are treating them around the clock to try and save their eyesight. Please send out some prayers and hopes that these babies will improve and grow into loving companions. ❤️

To further our mission of Trap, Neuter, Release, we have temporarily taken in the mom to nurse these small kittens. She will be spayed and returned to her property owner. That means one less potential cat mom, and one less sick sick litter of kittens...

Thank you so much to everyone that came out to shop today! We needed to empty out most of the building for our inspector to be able to see all the damage from the car accident this past week. We could not have done this without everyone sharing our posts, coming to shop, and a few very special volunteers that helped all day long! You have no idea how appreciative we are of each and everyone! ❤️

We will continue to get thru this little set back and keep going forward!!!

We have a lot of damage from the wreck this past Monday and need to empty most of this building to repair it!

UPDATE

Please, make sure to stay away from the front of this building. Currently we are not allowed to touch anything or clean up all the broken glass or wooden shards in the front till the insurance adjuster comes. (No idea how many days that may take) The front room is completely compromised and no one will be allowed in till its fixed.

We have been so thankful for the prayers and requests to help. Our first priority is to empty out the building best we can this weekend. As you know, we collect donations all winter and sell them to pay for our vet care and supplies. We have not had much free time to host a big sale yet, so we are packed full! We will be posting a big, quick online auction with pick up being during our yard sale this Sunday. It will be 8am-3pm.

More info to come as we figure out how much help we have to pull this off in such short notice. Anyone that wants to help volunteer with our yardsale is welcomed to reach out. We will start set-up at 7am and open 8-3pm (or till it dies down).

After a very early morning transport, Jeff and I were through with all rescue work, after working full-time jobs. I can't remember when we have made it into our bed, in PJs before midnight for the past 2 weeks.

Then, we get a call. The building we are so generously given to store donated items in and have our big yard sale fundraisers at was hit. Jeff and I hurried over to help and found that the driver crashed thru mail boxes, crashed into another car running them off the road, thru the telephone pole and into our building. They totaled them into the whole front of the building and into the yard. All the neighbors are without power and fans and ACs in this humid heat.

Thankfully the victims that were crashed into seemed ok and went to get checked out in the hospital just to make sure. Looking at what was left of their car, it's truly a blessing. When we pulled up, my heart sank when I saw their car crush from both ends like an accordion.

For the person that caused this accident, of course we are hearing 'under the influence' but no one knows for sure yet. What angers me so much is that after they almost killed these people, they drove off and left them! How does one do that? Not knowing if they were alive or dead and stopping to help them? Shame on you. Karma did catch up with you because they found them wrecked in a ditch further down by Adam's Gotta Stop.

Let's pray that everyone comes out ok with no internal injuries and this person is put away for some time so they cannot do this to someone else again.

As for the buiding....well, the whole front is toast and needs a full rebuild. Hopefully they have insurance, though I'm not counting on it. As for our stuff inside the front, I'm sure we lost a bunch of stuff, but it's just stuff! Lives are always what's important and we will figure that out tomorrow.

For tonight, I just hope that everyone is safe and unharmed that was in this crash.

We want to say a big Thank you to the food donations that came in the past two weeks! We really can't do what we do with out the loving support of some very special people. ♥️

We are especially excited about our 2 NEW trap sets that came in this week as well! Thank you to Sonya and Lisa for your generous gifts! These will be well used and oh so needed! 🐾

In the past 2 weeks we have traveled EVERY single day, multiple times a day, to different locations trapping, taking cats to and from vets offices, picking up more intakes off our waitlist, running supplies to fosters, and vacinating and reading our almost availible kitties ready for their freedom ride! 🚌

Tomorrow we are so thankful that 18 of our fosters will go on transports where they will have their forever homes! So many people have helped us to make this happen and we need to help our transport people out too! They help us get them to wonderful rescues and cat cafes where they are adopted to amazing homes right away.

I can't tell you how many senseless, stupid, mean, and frustrating messgaes we get EVERYDAY! This is a prime example of what all people ask for.

Just FYI, we don't 'give' out free kittens either. We have been told off for not giving out free kittens. If you can't afford the pets you have to already be fixed and go to the vet each year to be vacinated and have their rabies shots upto date...you can't afford another one.

Most of our babies have been thru Hell and Back and need those vacinations...especially in their early years. We poor our heart and soul into their recovery and will not put them back in a bad situation.
