My first chance at hatching Monarch Clowns.. I never got to tell Tom my girl laid.. she was a Christmas present from him a few years ago. I wanted to surprise him in Daytona in hopes I hit it. Sadly I didn’t get to tell him and I didn’t hit the combo I hoped for but .. this little smile popping out. Was enough for me to know Tom would have been happy either way.. & he would have been.

Fast forward to a clutch hatching now.. in 2020 I had a funny feeling about a clutch he hatched, one being he should re s*x it because we needed to keep it and he checked it again .. looked at me & starting laughing.. because I was in fact right.. so he kept her and the sibling. He said I had to take one home if I was sending him on a wild goose chase. The girl being a het pied ph monarch.

What I
would give for him to know what’s hatching right now. That’s a monarch in that egg.. this is definitely one of hardest parts of losing him. 💔

I would never know how to see markings for hets if it wasn’t for him. Plus I’m a little conspiracy theorist 😅

i always look forward to all of the interviews Brian Kusko would do with Tom. Their conversations were always so raw.. so meaningful so much more than snakes. Brian also has never let me forget Tom was his first customer😆..That in itself speaks for Brian’s character..

I never thought I would have to do this.. the kids were swimming with their goggles and snorkels 75 miles from Tom and something told me to get out.. & that’s when I found out.. it’s been hard keeping it together and not letting them know. I always thought this man was invincible.. absolutely nothing would or could keep him down..As mad as I am .. hurt and upset, there is no other person that was ready to go like he was. The impact he has made on soo many people and more importantly my family. The day Sydney was born was the day I finally got to meet The Legend himself. He sold me my first “expensive” snake. Tom always treated everyone the same .. the amount of money you spent with him never would matter. Tom has shown me so much in the short 8 years I’ve known him. Sydney is going to be devastated. Tom has inspired her to follow her dreams of being a veterinarian, shown her how to do stitches and even help her accept Jesus into her heart soo much more. Tom was literally the missionary of the snake world. Every single show the right people would find him. August 10th I had my most exciting clutch hatching.. I kept it a secret from him hoping I would hit the odds and surprise him. There was nothing I wouldn’t do for him. I’m so thankful for these short 8 years with him. He was far more than a mentor to me.. he was like a father to me. I’m not sure how I will ever do this without him. But I do my best keeping his projects going 🦋 please keep the Harbin’s in your prayers.

I love you Tom.. thank you for everything. Full throttle reptiles wouldn’t be a thing without him.
