Alison Brie, who starred in GLOW* and Community, has been cast as the classic Evil-Lyn. She joins an expanding group that already features Chris Hemsworth as He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela. An important character in the *Masters of the Universe mythology, Evil-Lyn serves as Skeletor's second-in-command. Although the position has not yet been filled, Brie's casting certainly suggests that Skeletor will appear in the movie.
Set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026, the live-action Masters of the Universe movie will be released by Amazon/MGM. AQUAMAN 3 (2025)

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is an upcoming American superhero movie based on DC Comics featuring the character Aquaman. Produced by DC Films, The Saffron Company and Atomic Monster Productions, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, is destined to be the sequel to Aquaman (2018) and the thirteenth film of DC's Extended Universe (DCEU). The film will be directed by James Wan from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, and stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman alongside Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Momoa submitted a story for an Aquaman sequel during the production of the first film, but Wan didn't want to rush the next film. He agreed to oversee the development of the sequel in January 2019, and Johnson-McGoldrick signed on to write the script a month later. In August 2020 it was confirmed that Wan would direct the film and said it would expand the universe of the first Aquaman. The title of the sequel was announced in June 2021 and filming will begin that same month in London.

The DC Universe's Elseworlds banner is intended to be used as a way to release movies and shows without requiring them to be tied to the main timeline and universe of the DCU itself. This opens up a host of possibilities for the franchise and ensuring successful series like The Batman can continue in their own cinematic corner.
While it's unlikely the original plans for Justice League 2 would be greenlit for Elseworlds exactly the same as they were imagined, releases like Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox movie show that DC isn't afraid to verge close to the kind of plotlines the movie would entail. As such, it still isn't impossible that the release could emerge in some transformed shape further down the line. Similarly, while Snyder has discussed moving away from the superhero genre, he's also discussed being willing to work with DC again in the future, meaning that a slim chance does still remain.
