As we transition into warmer months we will start to see more puppies that need new homes.
This is not the correct way to sale/give-away puppies per the City of Hobbs Ordinances.
The facility doesn’t always have space to take them in but we can help ensure they are age appropriate to be separated from their mommies, vaccinated, and get mom and puppies set up for surgery.

It's time for the "Hobbs Ordinance Highlight". We'd like to help educate the public on City Ordinances and provide an opportunity for questions. Call to speak with a Code Enforcement or Animal Control Officer anytime. Code Enforcement's main objective is to ensure an attractive, lawful, and safe community.

A litter permit helps the City of Hobbs ensure that animals are responsibly owned and protected from abuse and neglect. Please be advised that there is a difference between a Litter Permit and a Breeder Permit. These permits are both available at the Hobbs Animal Adoption Center. It is highly recommended to spay/neuter your pets. Currently, there are low-cost pet sterilizations available for all residents of Hobbs, Jal, and Eunice (prices range from $25-$45). If you are looking to surrender a litter of puppies the City of Hobbs Animal Adoption Center will work with you on a managed intake process. The managed intake process will allow HAAC to help you take the proper steps to ensure the litter and the mother get the best healthy pet outcome which would include vaccinations, sterilization, and rehoming.

Be in the know and stay up to date with City Ordinances. The City Code can be viewed online and/or a hard copy can be purchased at City Hall.

Another tough day for Mason, but he’s not giving up just yet ❤️

Sad news for our sweet boy Mason. The tumors in his lungs and liver are cancer. He will be needing a hospice home to live out his life with us. He is still full of energy and gaining weight. Thank you for all the prayers and donations for Mason!

Update… placed with Amazing Grace Pet rescue in Hobbs, NM for higher level of care due to medical conditions ❤️❤️ donations would be appreciated to his care.
We know these photos are difficult to see, this man has some significant health issues. We just know someone loved this sweet senior man. Please share his photos or if you have any info in reference to his owner we would appreciate any guidance they may be able to provide for his best care options ❤️🐾
