Last weekend Ellis passed away, our beloved “Old Lady.” She came into our lives at the beginning of this year, after being abandoned by her family and left to survive on the streets. When she arrived, she was a fragile soul, weathered by hardship, but we were determined to give her the love and care she so deeply deserved.
She was a good cat, through and through. Despite the pain of losing her, we find comfort in knowing that her final chapter was filled with love, safety, and kindness. We made sure every single day that she knew how much she was loved, and we’re grateful for the time we had with her, no matter how brief it was.
Rest in peace, sweet Ellis. You were a good cat—a remarkable one—and we will carry your memory in our hearts forever. You are so very missed, Old Lady.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re excited to share a recap of our incredible 2024!

This year at Whiskers and Claws Cat Rescue, we’ve had so many heartwarming moments. We welcomed several families of kittens and their mamas—each of them amazing, loving mothers. We kicked off the year with some memorable adoptions, including Rootbeer, Tiny Tim, Dante, and Moonlight, all of whom had been with us for quite some time.

We also took in an elderly street cat in need of tender care and helped a pair of cats who survived a heartbreaking neglect case. In an unexpected turn for our cat rescue, we opened our doors to five pups and successfully found them all wonderful homes!

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our donors, adopters, and followers. You make it possible for us to continue our mission and save the lives of animals who need us most.

It’s Giving Tuesday! 🎉 Today is the perfect day to celebrate by giving back to a nonprofit organization making a difference. This year, at Whiskers and Claws Cat Rescue, we’ve had the privilege of rescuing a few families of mamas and kittens, completing several TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) projects, saving an elderly cat from the streets, and even rescuing a handful of pups and finding them loving homes!

We are so grateful for all the support we’ve received this year—it has made a world of difference to the animals in our care. But we still need your help to continue our mission. Donations allow us to keep our intake open, provide food and medical care, and save even more precious animals in need.
