And that’s a wrap🦔
I have officially closed my doors (for now). Breeding and rescuing hedgehogs was such a big part of my life, and it’s bittersweet to say goodbye; even if it is only temporary.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me, loved on my hedgies, and been part of this journey with me. I’ve met so many amazing people through this little adventure, and I’ll always be grateful.

For now, it’s time for a pause, but who knows what the future will bring 🙂 🦔

Hello, Rachel’s Loving Lil Hedgies family, friends, & followers.

Unfortunately I’ve come across a hard time and with that I’ve had to make some difficult decisions. I will be parting with the two adult female hedgehogs I currently have and closing my doors *temporarily*. I will be back in a few months to a year but for the time being I am not able to provide them with the care they so much deserve.

I am adopting the two females out as pet only. Pixel has always been a bit spicy but Mina (Short for Willemina) is a sweet girl. I’ve not been handling them as much as I should though so they have both developed a bit of sass. They each have an adoption fee of $3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ as I am selling them with their setup too.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my business through the years. I can’t wait to make my way back to the hedgehog world when the time is right🦔

Oh boy. Receiving such happy updates is one of the many, many reasons I enjoy what I do so much!! This adoption was so dear to my heart as I immediately knew baby Snickers would be loved forever (even if she was a little sassy when they first met😅). I always appreciate these darling updates from adoptees💗🦔

Hello all friends, followers, and adoptees! Please read ahead! It has come time we implement some new rules and policies.

Hedgehogs CAN be prone to certain temperament issues (hiding, biting, huffiness) please be aware of what you may be getting yourself into prior to buying! It is not fair to shuffle the animal from home to home expecting a different outcome, instead message me & we can come up with a plan in your home together.

-Effective as of 2/23/23:
•I am requiring you to home your new animal for 6+ months before returning/replacing due to temperament issues.

A $50 nonrefundable deposit has always been required to reserve a hedgehog from
me. This is to help ensure the adoption will not be forfeited. Deposits can be placed through Cashapp, Paypal, or Venmo.

-Effective as of 2/17/25:
•I will now instead be requiring a $50 nonrefundable deposit to be placed on the waitlist for hedgehogs available in the future. This is to ensure seriousness.

•Waitlist members will be contacted with hoglet pictures when they reach 2-3 weeks of age. When members have been contacted, they will be given 8 hours to respond. If no contact has been made within that time frame, I will move on to the next person in line and so forth.

•Waitlisters are welcome to pass on currently available hedgehogs and have their deposits transferred to future hedgehogs, but deposits may not be returned.

Showing off the gorgeous herd I’ve been blessed with! Ziva and Chunk were produced in my program whereas the other three beauties are from fellow breeder friends in the Midwest!

Pixel is currently pregnant with Tex’s babies! Provided all goes well, this will be a wildcard litter as I’ve never paired these two together before. Please keep Pixel in your mind as we hope for a safe delivery!!🦔🩷

Help me rehome this sweet girl! Her name is Tippy. She is a 5ish year old spayed female. She has had her shots. Bonus, she’s a cuddler too! Reason for rehoming is she is getting stressed out in her current household. She needs a calmer, quieter environment. Preferably no dogs and only one cat (or no cats/dogs at all). No fee. Oh my sweet, precious Feisty baby. How dearly you and your unborn babies will be missed. Your passing today was so unexpected. I remember hand feeding you when you were the size of a peanut like it was just yesterday!😢Rest easy with your babies sweet girl, you were so loved.
