Merry Christmas to all of our clients! We have been working hard to find more consistent suppliers of great Northern Alfalfa. We will have a full semi load in shortly after Christmas for those looking.

We are 10 bale minimum for pickup and average is 65lbs per bale. Bulk pricing over 40 bales is $18 anything less is $20 per bale!

We hope everyone has a happy healthy holiday season and look forward to continuing to supply our clients with great hay!

We have great 3rd cut northern alfalfa in stock.

Unfortunately with the inconsistent freight carrier, we had to find a more reliable carrier which cost more.

The cost for this season on alfalfa is $20 per bale 65lb average. Pickup is a minimum of 10 bales and delivery is a 20 bale minimum within 20 miles of the farm, anything further is 40 bale minimum.

There is no bulk pricing this winter with the increased cost of freight unfortunately it just isn’t possible for us to stay in business at any lower cost.

Brace for a tough 2nd half of the year! I spoke with our farm up north and they are talking about all their hay going up at minimum $3.50 per bale, trucking is already at $5.50-6.50 per loaded mile. This will put hay at $18.50 per bale before it ever even makes it to our farm locally. This seems to be all across the board with all the farms we have worked with. We will hold the line at our current price as long as we can survive doing so!!

Now that Road diesel is over $5.75 a gallon and Off-Road Diesel is over $5 we started crunching some numbers.

The "analysts" are talking about a diesel shortage is next up on the platter and expect it to be like finding toilet paper was a couple years ago. For the first time in a long time, it may now be less expensive to use horses as a mode of transportation again.

Therefore all the tractors, skid steers, and delivery trucks are for sale. We replaced them with these 4 legged friends! Deliveries in some cases might take longer and the vehicles themselves will surely appreciate tips (aka carrots/apples/etc..)
