TEDDY IS STILL MISSING!

One of our amazing foster moms is still missing her boy. She said this about him below:

“Teddy is still missing.

- Missing since 11/16, near Spearman Drive/Old Rocky Ridge Road

- Solid deep orange, neutered, and microchipped. His coat has a circle/swirl pattern on both of his sides.

- Indoor only cat. I do not know how his personality might change outdoors.

- If spotted, please do not chase. Snap a photo and text it to 256-458-5115 or call with location.

- REWARD offered if found.

Please keep your eyes open. The last two weeks have been agonizing.”

If you’re in the area or anywhere close by please, please keep your eyes peeled for this handsome guy. We need to get him home!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Ana is being returned to us. It’s not her fault at all! In fact her adopter loves her SO much, but she is having to shoulder replacement surgery which makes caring for Ana quite challenging.

What you need to know:

Ana grew up in a colony and learned to trust people at a young age. She really loves attention, but can be a little nervous if you surprise her. She loves talking back to you! She’s about 8.5 years old. Since she’s been with her adopter she has learned to take naps on the bed with you. She’s learned what a wand toy is and enjoys playtime! She is really low key and would be a great companion for someone who also leads a quiet life. She even loves belly rubs and will purr and make biscuits while getting them! Unfortunately, Ana DOES NOT get along with other cats. She is a one cat kitty and that’s that. We have no where for her to go that doesn’t have another cat. So, we are begging for a foster or adopter that has no other cats to come forward and help Ana. The adopter needs her to be moved ASAP. Please let us know if you can help!

Happy Monday! We hope you enjoyed your holiday this past week. Our team even took a little break and had a post-Thanksgiving get together! We enjoyed spending time together and getting to bond without trapping a wily cat! Don’t worry, the break didn’t last long because we trapped 14 cats last night! Stay tuned to hear about them 🙂

A very Happy Thanksgiving from us and Theodore to you! Everyone be safe and have a great holiday.

P.S. Can you believe THIS is Theo? When we say fostering saves lives, we mean it. Without Shelby and her wife Theo would still be shut down. Instead he’s warm, safe, and beginning to show his personality! His little meow and jump for pets 🥹🥹 How in the world did he survive outside all alone?

Thank you Shelby and Mikal! Theo has a foster home for the Holidays and a foster lined up for him afterwards!!

Alright guys, we need a miracle here. Theodore can stay at the vet overnight, but due to the holidays he HAS to leave tomorrow morning. Can you give Theo a soft place to land over the holidays so we can find a more permnanet foster for him? Just a bathroom would do trick! He’s well mannered and just so stinking tired from his time on the streets. Let’s make a Thanksgiving miracle happen! Message us if you can help 🤞🤞

Theodore is only three. Three years old and he looks like this. This is the reality of a not neutered male cat living outside. And yes, he does have FIV. Theodore is going to hang at the vet overnight but we NEED a foster by tomorrow. Can you help us out?

Update: Theodore’s vet bill is covered! Thank you all 💙💙

What does it look like when a male cat is left behind- for weeks, months, years? A male cat that was loved and cherished. One who didn’t know how to hunt for himself or fight off other cats? Here’s an example. This angel wrapped in dingy fur with cuts, scrapes, and tattered ears could be the poster child for this scenario. Last night we trapped Theodore. He was starving and didn’t hesitate to immediately go in the trap. Unlike our ferals, he didn’t react once trapped. He wasn’t scared or angry. He was..relieved? That’s the best word I can come up with to describe what we saw when we looked into his eyes. It’s like he was waiting for someone to actually see him. To recognize he wasn’t a pest or just an annoying stray cat begging for crumbs and dumpster diving. We assessed Theodore around 1 AM (no we don’t sleep 😅) and almost started crying. He has injuries to his neck, cuts across his nose, he has goopy eyes, he was drooling, but most of all? He was leaning into our fingers as we pet him. Instead of dropping him at our clinic to be neutered we decided to get him in to see our regular vet. We don’t have a plan for him, but unlike so many others who saw him we aren’t giving up on him. We will get him vetted and cross whatever bridge those results bring. We need to raise about $200 for his vet bill. If you’re willing to help us care for Theodore all donations can be made to through Venmo or PayPal under his name. If you’d like to be more involved in his story we will need a foster home for him. If you’re able to foster this sweet boy please fill out an application at kittykathavenrescue.org or message us! We will update as we know more about him. 💙

Urgent! We are in need of barn home for five cats as soon as possible. We can split them up 2/3. The black kitten(Bolt) has to stay with the grey adult (his mom Hilti) and we would prefer the other litter mate (Rebar) go with them too.

Background: We got a call last week from a woman downtown near ACIPCO. A cat she had been feeding ran into her house and refused to leave. We are calling her Hilti. She tried picking Hilti up, but she got scared and scratched the woman. From Thursday-Sunday (when we talked to her) Hilti was not fed. The woman was fed up with the cats so she stopped feeding outside too. We trapped Hilti in a matter of seconds. She was so hungry. The woman threatened to call animal control or whatever she could to get the cats gone. We explained TNR, but she wasn’t receptive. The area was pretty unsafe with cars flying by, but we spotted an okay hiding space for the cats in the abandoned lot next door. We made the executive choice to trap as many as possible and start by having them fixed. We gave them some time to eat and not be starved before spay/neuter surgery. We even found a barn home for three! Unfortunately, that all fell through this morning. We don’t want to return them unless there is absolutely no other choice. These cats aren’t totally feral, but they are terrified. We think they’d make great additions to any working cat space! Please message us if you’re willing to give them a chance!
