Our daughter's Taekwando Academy is putting on an awesome event and is looking for business sponsors!

We're looking for Local Sponsors to help us put on this great event this year but we also want to share our event's story with you.

We did our first May the 4th in 2021. We wanted to use our love of Star Wars to bring back some normalcy to our Parish. With the help of Zack's - St. Charles St - Houma , Tiger Rock of Houma, Rushing Media LLC and Mike Levron Productions we planned our first event in less then a month that first year and it was fun and successful.

Later that year we were hit with Hurricane Ida. One of the worst storms to hit our area in a very long time. As our Parish recovered we saw an opportunity to use this event as a way to help in the recovery of our local schools. So in 2022 we decided to pick one of. our hardest hit local high schools South Terrebonne High School. We partnered with DJ Rhett and support from other local businesses to help us put this event on and to connect with this local school. The event was a huge success and everyone had a great time. We were able to raise money for them to replace some equipment the football team had lost in the storm. The event was so successful we knew that we would need a new location for year 3!!

Now here we are in year 3 and we are excited to bring this great event into Downtown Houma as our contribution to the revitalization of Downtown Houma. This year our selected school is Ellender Memorial High School. We will be using the proceeds from this years event to help the band raise funds to replace things that they need that were lost in the storm.

We have so much planned for you guys this year and can't wait to start sharing more of our plans with everyone.
