We have been busy so haven’t had much time for updates but I have mini Rex again! I will have pet and show/breeding quality mini Rex babies in a couple of months and I finally found a mini plush doe so we will hopefully have pedigreed mini plush lops soon as well!

We will also have pedigreed standard Rex available for pets, show or meat.

These girls can easily get overlooked as they are in one of my grow out cages together and they are in that awkward stage of growth but I am really excited to see how they turn out.

We had some gorgeous little Christmas babies born last night! So excited for the next couple of months to see these little guys grow!

These are from a Harlequin Vm and chocolate harlequin so I expect them all to be Harlis.

We have had a slow start to our fall breeding season but we have two gorgeous litters of magpie holland lops in our nest boxes! They will be ready late January/early February.

Black, blue, chocolate and sable magpies.

I still have this gorgeous blue jr holland lop buck 👀 for new hay. He is a little tank and has a gorgeous head and ears like his mom. Would make a great show bunny or breeder and has an amazing calm personality. Fully pedigreed and litter box trained.

I also have this young holland lop Doe I have decided to move as I am no longer working with blacks as much but she is gorgeous and is ready to breed she is a Black VM with blue eyes.

They are not related so could go as a breeding pair, the doe is out of a blue so they would make some gorgeous Blue VM babies.

We have some exciting new additions to our herd that I will formally introduce soon and I am so excited for the changes happening this fall with our breeding program! The new barn is done and we now have over 30 holes with tons of fans and a misting system and auto waterer so everyone handles the heat better! Keep an eye out for breeding plans late august/early September.

Yes! We do everything we can to keep our prices reasonable but we also put so much into new quality breeding stock to improve our herd as well as our blood, sweat and tears into keeping our bunnies happy, healthy and safe so our prices will definitely reflect that in the future.

I know I have posted about it before (& even shared another rabbitries post similar just the other day!) but I feel like it is worthy of speaking on again…

P r i c i n g!

To get to where I am, and the stock of what I have - Both in Rabbits & my Chocolate Silkies, I have invested. Because to get where you want to be, to build from the bottom up, that’s what you do. You invest. I have Chocolate Silkie hens that have cost me $100+. I have rabbits in my Rabbitry that I have paid $200-350 for. (+$75 transport fee EACH rabbit to get them here!) Or that I have driven HOURS to get myself! I have made those investments into my hobby/business.

I work hard day AND night, literally around the clock, to make sure my animals are healthy. To make sure babies are being born flawlessly. To make sure day and night that mommas are doing what they should be. I am hands on every single bunny, every single day, multiple times a day, to make sure they are socialized. To make sure YOU are getting what YOU pay for.

I will always continue to strive for better quality, friendly, healthy animals & my pricing will reflect exactly that! I did not get my stock for nothing, and I will not let mine go for nothing! Everything that comes along with these animals, has doubled (some tripled) in price! Feed. Cages. Medicines. Necessities!
My time, my investments, my work, they are all worthy!

I offer lifetime support, and am always open to questions & helping. I literally go above and beyond. If you don’t want to pay my prices, that is OKAY. I’m okay with that! But please, please, stop insulting me because I don’t have a bunny (or a chicken!) in your price range.

Fun facts about Flemish Giants. We raise Light Grey and Steel and absolutely love our gentle giants.

The Flemish Giant rabbit is the largest breed of domestic rabbit and are historically a utility breed used for their fur and meat.

They are often kept as pets as they are known for being docile and patient when being handled.

Affectionately dubbed "The Gentle Giant," adult Flemish Giants weigh in at about 15lbs on average, though some can reach weights of over 20lbs.

The breed slogan is "The Universal Rabbit." I find that fitting, as I have dabbled in many breeds and it always comes back to Flemish being my favorite and the most versatile for me.

They do have the "big bone" trait that commercial meat breeders turn their nose up at, but as a homesteading breed, I find the loss of meat/bone ratio a fair trade for the temperament these big guys bring to the table- They are simply a joy to raise.

The bigger bone also means they have bigger frames, offering bigger pelts for those who utilize them for their homesteading needs, as long as you take the time to grow them out longer.

I only raise the Self Black and Blue varieties. These are color correct rabbits and the rarest of the 7 recognized colors of Flemish Giants.

It is important to breed color correct to maintain the integrity of the breed. I personally breed towards the SOP, but I also select my breeders based on growth rates, temperament, and size.

These big babies can make some of the best house rabbits, too! Many of our rabbits go to pet homes and thrive in those environments. We handle the kits every single day from the time they are born, and they develop the biggest personalities early on.
