Petey the piglet runs
Check out this video of Petey the piglet running joyfully in our barn! He was rescued after we received reports of an injured piglet (only 2 weeks old) running loose on the streets.
Petey's journey began with uncertainty, but thanks to our dedicated team, he is now safe. Watch as he races through our campus barn. Just a few more weeks and he will be ready for adoption.
Your generosity makes stories like Petey's possible. Together, we can continue to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need. #PeteyThePiglet #RescueStory #AnimalRescue
Frodo's Success
Adoption Spotlight: Frodo
Frodo arrived into our care as a feral stallion, but thanks to the hard work of our barn team and his adopter, he is now a fantastic riding horse. Enjoy the video of Frodo practicing the barrel pattern! #HorseAdoption #RescuedHorse #EquineRescue
We are truly grateful for the dedication of our Equine Team! They have been working tirelessly to train the horses we rescued back in January. As you may recall, eight horses were rescued from a muddy and debris-filled property, and most of them were undomesticated. Thanks to our Equine Team's efforts, these horses are now receiving proper training and care.

While it's true that many of the horses entering our care arrive malnourished, neglected, and in distressing conditions, we're fortunate to have an exceptional Equine and Farm Team and dedicated Veterinary staff committed to providing these animals with a second chance.
These compassionate individuals make moments like these possible β witnessing these horses overcome unimaginable hardships and transform into the vibrant, healthy beings they are meant to be!π΄π
Now, you have a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of other horses in need. Thanks to a group of kind-hearted animal lovers, your donation can have double the impact. Visit houstonspca.org/donate now and be a part of these animals' inspiring journey towards a brighter future.

Summer "Pignic" at the Houston SPCA
This week we say goodbye to Chief Community and Development Officer Jo Sullivan! We are all sad to see her go, as are all the animals! She always had strawberries and carrots to share with the residents of the barn, so it was time for a summer "pignic" as a last hoorah! We will ALL miss you, Jo!
We have some new faces on the farm today! These two senior Belgians came to us as an owner surrender. They were originally used as a carriage team in downtown Houston many years ago. We are gonna work our magic to get them back to a healthy weight and would love to find them a home together. Stay tuned! β€οΈπ΄π΄
βοΈMeet Tundra! βοΈThis 18 year old Arabian mare has been here almost a year waiting for her person. She has a big heart with a sprinkle of sass! She prefers to go bitless and is in a halter this whole video. She does well in the arena but seems to enjoy being out on trails. Check out her profile on our website: https://houstonspca.org/single-pet/?pet=451069
