Aquí estoy como si no rompiera un plato!🐾
La verdad me porto muy bien ya tengo año y medio y a veces me dan los mimisquis (como dice mama) pero soy un cachorro muy bien portado mientras drene mis energías haciendo mis ejercicios diarios. Aqui en mi casa algunas cosas han cambiado ya estamos cerca de la llegada de mi hermanita menor Lucia🤱🏻 y yo no puedo esperar para conocerla y darlos unos lenguatasos de bienvenida.

Almost Friday! 🏝I can’t wait to go to the beach again with my family. Hopefully this time goes better, last year I got all excited (Because you know I am a Lab I LOVEEE water) and nothing in the word (not even Andres) would stop me to jump in the water so I got stomach sick with all the salt intake🙈 my parents didn’t know what to do. But I recover few days later.
In this picture Emma was telling me “ Oslo says Cheese” my parents laugh so hard, she is my sweet little cousin and as you saw in the previous post we had spend so much moments together since I was a baby now I am bigger that her🙈

Happy New Year 2021
Hoping all the best for this new year.

Theme of the week: Rules, Boundaries and Limitations

Before the puppy get home is veeeeery important to set this so every family member is in the same page. We have to talk and have a discussion what do or don’t will be on the puppy routine so he get used to and learn how to behave.
1. We allow Oslo to go in the bed only when we call him and if he is clean. (He is not allowed to jump in the bed is we don’t ask him)
2. We ask him to give us space if we feel invaded.
3. He is not allowed to jump in the living room sofa or chairs
4. He needs to relax before we feed him and we are allowed to take his food when he is eating.
5. He needs to sit before we open ANY doors in the house.
..and you may think that this is like army but this rules, boundaries and limitations have been the success of our coexistence and the great relationship we have with each other. Also here is plenty of love, fun and respect and we enjoy it everyday. Those little step have help us to have a very respectful and loving dog and also keep him controlled because he is 8 months old (full of energy) almost 70 pounds and still growing, imagine if we didn’t have limitations for him 🙈. He goes crazy sometimes and there is always work to be done and behavior to improve but it takes consistency and patient.

We are so grateful to have Oslo in our lives, he brought so much Love and Joy, he went for a little puppy to a lovely big boy in 8 months and we couldn’t be happier with his personality. He is playful, intelligent, obedient and such a energetic puppy.

Why Dog needs a walk?
This is a question that everyone ask us, Do you walk Oslo everyday and the answer is Yes, is part of our family’s routine. If I am home earlier I walk with him or if Andres is at home he will do it. And there are many reasons why:
1. He is able to exercise and drain some energy.
2. Walks give you the option to connect with your dog better.
3. Reinforce any training of obedience that you practice at home ( Remember consistency and patience is the Key)
4. You get to exercise too.
5. He is able to socialize and get used to the outside world, do something different (specially if the spend the day alone at the house).
For those and other many reasons is a good practice. We tried to do 30-45 min walk but that varies with you dog age, weight and conditions. This recommendations are solely based on our experience. Thanks for reading us, you are welcome to share your experiences in the comments
