In the summer of 2018, I moved to Michigan to attend Kettering University, where I completed my bachelor's in applied mathematics. I chose to attend Kettering University because of its co-op program. Not only was I able to get an exceptional education, but I also had the opportunity to get hands-on experience with companies such as Dow Chemical and Magna Electronics. Getting exposed to the profess
ional workplace at such a young age taught me many things, but there is one conversation I had with one of my coworkers that I will never forget. One morning one of my coworkers came up to me and asked me the following question: "Would you rather make more money and be miserable or would you rather make less money and be content at your place of employment?" At the time, I wasn't too certain about my answer, but now that I'm done with school and I've had some time to think about my future, I have a definitive answer. When I got done with school, I was actively applying for full-time jobs, but I wasn't getting any good news. To keep myself busy in the meantime, I started working as an independent contractor through an app called Rover which provides pet care. As the months went by, I realized that dog walking isn't just a hobby, but it is something I want to do as my full-time job. I realized that dog walking is something I am passionate about and the income that I get from it is not the most important thing. For me, the most important thing is to ensure that every dog and client that I build a relationship with is satisfied with my work. Being able to spend time with dogs not only brings me happiness, but I know the dogs are appreciative of the quality time I give them. Just like humans, dogs need mental and physical stimulation to lead fulfilling lives. If you have a busy schedule with work and you don't have time to walk your dog, I am here to prioritize your dog!
