Snoot is simply at an age where sometimes you need a bit of a spa day. When he was younger, he was great at hygiene, but since loosing most of his rear leg mobility, he’s started to smell more often like an old man. A little bit of a scrub and some brushing took care of most of my worries. Tried to trim his nails out of his toe pads, but he’ll only allow so much. Honestly, anything is better than nothing. As my final old man, I want him to have all the nicest of days.

We managed power all through the storm AND THEN the transformer died. Snoot gets an unplanned trip to AC, and he’s an absolutely hit as he’s always been a gentleman.

I put treats in the bottom of this for Snoot the other day assuming he would attempt to pop it open like everyone had in the past. Guess he’s smarter than I gave credit.

One of my favorite things about rats is their ability to eat *almost* anything. Serving them chicken bones might seem a bit morbid, but they love their treat, it helps grind down their teeth, AND I create less waste in the long run. Besides, I’ll take any excuse for more fried chicken in my life.
