Puppies are doing great and will be ready to go to their new homes in 2 weeks. Both puppies are eating solid dog food, playing constantly, and showing off their personalities. 😂 They’re totally weened at night, (Ellie is sleeping upstairs again to ease transitions in to new families) and just snack when they can catch Ellie during the day. Both puppies have seen the vet and been dewormed.

Neither puppy has been claimed/ reserved yet.

Puppies are 4 weeks today!

They’re both doing well and getting more and more playful.

Lighter girl is holding strong as the more laid back of the two, but for sure holds her own with brother wants to play.

Darker boy is a ham. There’s a lot of personality in this guy. He’s getting more adventurous in the yard, but won’t go more than about 5 feet without coming back and standing over my feet.

Both puppies are on soft dog food and doing really well with it. They’re still nursing as much as Ellie will allow, but she’s doing a good job weaning them. They’ll both visit the vet this week for check-ups and deworming.

Potty training is going surprisingly well. As soon as we added puppy pads to their area, they started using them and seem to prefer keeping things clean. 🎉

We’re officially taking deposits, so if you’re interested in either puppy, please let us know. As a reminder- They’re f1 golden doodles. Mom is a golden retriever. Dad is a full-sized poodle, so these guys will be the size of a golden retriever for context. (Pic of both parents in a previous post.)

3 weeks (+a day)… The good news is, puppies are getting REALLY active and SO fun. The bad news is, getting them to stay still for pictures just got a lot harder. 😂

Lighter girl has gotten super playful and thinks chewing on her brother’s ears is hilarious, particularly if he’s sleeping. (We’ll be getting some puppy toys this week to give his ears a break.) She’s figured out that the play yard they live in has a door and is doing her best to figure out how to get in and out of it like the grown-up dogs.

Darker boy is finding his voice more and cracking us up with his tiny barks. He’ll make a new noise then jump because he surprises himself.

We’ll start introducing soft dog food this week and crate training next week for short periods to start getting them ready for their new homes. We’ll also start taking deposits next week at 4 weeks after they visit the vet and get their deworming.

Happy 2 Weeks, Puppies!

We’re opening our eyes more and more, although our favorite pastime is still snuggling up and sleeping. We’re starting to get up on all fours and wobble, so walking around is in our very near future. We enjoy short trips outside in the sun, but still prefer to stay inside on our nice warm blankets.

Our personalities are definitely shining through.

Lighter girl, affectionately known as, “Squiggles”- Very laid back and chill. She’s content alone or with her brother. When she’s held, she tends to find her way to either our shoulder or with her nose in our elbow.

Darker boy, called, “Hershey” and “Twitchy” depending on who you ask- This boy LOVES to eat. When Ellie is around, he’s eating constantly. He has found his voice more and likes to be curled up with either his sister or Ellie, but Astro (our golden/ lab mix) is coming around more as they’re getting older and he likes to snuggle with him, too.

Last week we lost the 3rd puppy, who the kids called, “Super”. We don’t know what happened, but found him not breathing after we had been outside working in the garden. As he was only a week old, it could have been any number of things. We have spent the week grieving and processing. He was well-loved in his short life.

Puppies are a week old today and growing SO FAST! They’re starting to get more mobile and we’ve started spending little bits of time with them around the house and outside.

2 days old and they’re already growing. Lots of eating and sleeping.

Ellie had 3 healthy puppies today! 2 boys and a girl.

Ellie and Chase are both great pets with health screening, registration paperwork, and good dispositions. Ellie is expecting a litter of F1 golden doodles mid-February.
