AJC Rescue & Transport Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs of all breeds and ages and find them loving homes. Above 20 lbs, the individual crate rate applies.

My team and I strive to provide the most caring, safe and professional transport service, for rescue & personal dogs, from Houston to northern states, in order to give these animals their chance at wonderful lives with loving forever families. TERMS OF SERVICE

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue & transport group and our transport is part of our rescue fundraising activity, meaning all proceeds af

ter expenses, are used to fund the saving and vetting of more dogs. We currently service mainly the Northeast/New England area and the Midwest (Chicago/Michigan/Ohio)
We operate a Mercedes Sprinter Van and all dogs are transported in Airline crates, in accordance with USDA guidelines. Our rates are structured as follows:
$220 per dog up to 100 lbs
$275 per dog over 100 lbs (or tall enough to require a 38” crate or larger)
$300 per nursing mom with litter up to 4 weeks old
$350 per nursing mom with litter 4-6 weeks old
(Additional fee of $100 per crate applies for litters of more than 6 puppies)
$220 per crate for puppies over 6 weeks old and no longer nursing, no more than 2 puppies per crate as long as puppies are under 20 lbs each. These rates are for dogs originating in the greater Houston area. Other pick up locations are available with prior arrangement and additional fee based on location and quantity of dog loading at that location. We utilize the following Jotform for bookings. Unless your booking has been received via this form, we cannot guarantee that a crate has been reserved. If a booking is received and we are fully booked for the date you are requesting, we will contact you right away. Payment and health certificates, for dogs booked on transport, must be received by email no later than 48 hours prior to scheduled loading. Dogs canceled less than 48 hours prior to loading (or refused at loading for health/safety concerns or for missing/incomplete paperwork) will still incur the full original transport fee. Zelle is preferred since it does not charge a fee. Health certificates and Rabies certificates (if applicable), as well as proof of a clear fecal exam, must be sent to

at least 2 days prior to transport. Original Health Certificate, vaccination records and Rabies Certificate (if applicable) must accompany the dog during transport. DOGS BROUGHT TO LOADING WITHOUT THIS DOCUMENTATION PRESENT, WILL NOT BE LOADED. All dogs (except NPG puppies) must wear a collar when brought to loading. Any dog not wearing a collar, will be provided one by us and a fee of $10 per dog added to the transport fee. All dogs must be at least 14 days post shelter exit, meaning they must have spent at least 14 days in boarding/vet care/foster care before they are eligible for transport. Health requirements:

Adult dogs:
• DAPP vaccine
• Bordetella vaccine
• Rabies vaccine
Vaccinations must be done at least 5 days prior to transport
• Clear fecal exam within 7 days of transport.
• Health certificate

Puppies over 6 weeks old and no longer nursing:
• At least 2 sets of DAPP vaccines
• Bordetella vaccine
• Rabies vaccine (if old enough)
All vaccinations must be given at least 5 days prior to transport.
• Clear fecal exam within 7 days of transport.
• Health certificate
• Proof of negative Parvo test within 7 days prior to transport. Additional requirements may apply, based on the laws of the state the dogs are going to. Please check with your vet and the website of the Department of Agriculture of the state where your dog is going. We reserve the right to refuse any animal that shows signs of aggression or illness at the time of loading or is brought to loading without the required documentation.

Meet Izzy🥰🐶🥰

Izzy is a very loving, playful and medium energy dog.
She is a bully breed with a short and stocky body, weighing around 45 pounds.
She’s estimated to be approximately 3 years old.

Izzy has the cutest wiggle butt and loves to greet you with toys when you walk through the door. She’s pure love.

When Izzy meets new people for the first time, she’s a little shy. When Izzy was found, her body showed the signs of a difficult life. Despite this, Izzy has shown to be the sweetest and calmest dog ever.
She looked abused and beaten. Her scars on her back tell you the story. She was skinny and had some skin issues. She desperately wanted to be with living people to help her feel safe.
Since then, she has healed well, has adjusted beautifully to being part of a family and is thriving.

Sadly, as a result of being neglected previously, and not being given heartworm prevention, she is currently heartworm positive but she has started treatment and will complete her treatment at the end of January.

After a week of getting used to the routine at her foster home, the foster’s kids, dogs and daily life, she started coming out of her shell and taking interest in the other dogs in the home.
She started playing with them and with her toys.
Izzy loves to play fetch.

Her foster home includes 5 dogs of different sizes and temperaments and she did not have any problems with either of them. She is extremely dog friendly. She does specifically well with smaller dogs.
She lays next to the bigger dogs as well as smaller dogs.
She walks moderately well on a leash and even walks well off leash too.

She’s very loving to her humans.
She loves to follow her family around throughout the house.
She loves to be in the same room you are in when you’re sleeping or cooking or just chilling.

Izzy can be a little skittish of men in the beginning, especially if approached fast or very loudly. However, she has never shown any kind of aggression.
Once she feels safe she is as sweet with men as with women.

Izzy is a great companion and family dog. She’s wonderful with kids and other dogs, of course with proper introduction.
She loves to play with all the dogs and she loves all kinds of doggy toys. She would do good in homes with kids and playful dogs with a sweet temperament.

Izzy is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada.

Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test.

Meet SPENCER

Hi! I’m Spencer and I’m a big hunk of love!!!
I am a very handsome boy and I know it! I love to cuddle and lay on you so I can smother you with hugs and kisses!

When I’m not snuggling my favorite people, I am full of energy and have the cutest zoomies!
I do get anxious when my favorite people aren’t around but if I have toys I will stay busy for a little while!
I am potty trained and only have accidents when my people don’t let me out in time or I get overly anxious. This improves once I feel safe with my family and I learn your routine.

I absolutely love kids and love to play with them, but sometimes I forget how big and solid I am, so I might accidentally knock a small child over, out of excitement. Children over 8 or 10 years old would probably be best.
I get so excited to see my family, that I sometimes jump up, but my foster mom is working with me on it!

I love treats, so I learn new things quickly with the right motivation. I already know sit! I sit really pretty because I’m a good boy!
I make friends with other dogs but I do tend to like to play using my mouth and not all of my friends understand this!
I have never bit one of them or even acted aggressively toward anyone or anything!
I don’t mind people touching my ears, tail, or food when I eat!
I’m a certified chunky boy though and I love food!
I am kennel trained and as long as I have soft blankets my kennel is my safe spot! I like when the door is left open so I can come and go as I please!
I will always let you know when I have to use the bathroom or I need something!
I love playing tug of war and keep away with my friends. When I first meet people I can get very excited, however I do calm down fairly quickly with proper direction.
I love people so much I sometimes have a hard time controlling my excitement
I love playing in water but big pools scare me a little. I enjoy baths and do well in them.
I’d love to meet you and become a part of your family!!!!
I promise you that I’ll make you happy and you will fall in love with me!

December has been extremely busy and we managed to get 3 transports done in time for Christmas 🎄 🐶🩷

These lucky dogs all got to go “home for Christmas” to loving families all over New England, the Midwest and Canada🐾💕🐾💕🐾

We’re so excited to finish out 2024 with 3 more successful transports, getting more dogs out of Texas and into the loving homes they deserve.
These are the “Christmas Miracles” we hope for and are so grateful for. 🎄🎅🏻⛪️

We hope all the dogs, their fosters, adopters and rescues have the most wonderful, happy and peaceful Holiday Season. We all have so much to be grateful for and we are looking forward to making 2025 even more successful 🎉🐶🎊

This is what rescues in Texas face every single day and it’s exhausting and soul crushing. 😭😭😭

“When we started this rescue, our mission was to help the abused, neglected and discarded dogs in our city and beyond.

Our mission has never been to relieve you of the commitment YOU made to your dog when you took them in.

People have babies and keep their dogs.

People change careers and keep their dogs.

People’s schedules get hectic and they keep their dogs.

People move and find a way to keep their dog.

People run into issues with manageable/trainable behavior AND THEY KEEP THEIR DOGS.

These situations are not unique.

We didn't start this rescue to bail you out. I'm sorry, I know that may sound harsh-- and yes, we know that there are absolutely situations in which people can truly no longer care for their dog- and we help with those as much as we can.

But for the love of Dog-- step up for your dog. Show up for your dog. Show your dog the same love and commitment today that you showed them the day you brought them home.

Dogs are being euthanized here, in shelters every single day because the shelter does not have space. FRIENDLY. HEALTHY. HAPPY. ADOPTABLE. DOGS.

Our last New England trip of November gave us our first taste of snow of the winter season ❄️☃️🌨️. While it was cold, we enjoyed our trip tremendously and are, as always, thrilled and grateful for all the dogs (and 2 kittens) who were able to go north, to wonderful rescues and loving forever families. 🩷🐶

We work very hard to place our pups with wonderful loving forever families. These updates are something so special and meaningful to us. 💕💕💕It shows us that we are successful in making sure that the dogs get to live their best lives. ❤️🐶❤️Maverick (fka Tinsel) is so loved and thriving in his home❣️❣️❣️We are grateful for this update and this is what we hope to do for all the dogs in our little rescue. 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Another successful New England trip completed last weekend. 🩷🐶🩷It was a chilli arrival in New England but our hearts were warmed by the wonderful homes all these dogs (and 1 cat) got to go to. 💕🐾💕🐾

We are over the moon that 2 more of our pups have been adopted, in time for the holidays with their new forever families 🩷🐶🩷🐶🩷🐶Sweet Chardonnay is going to live the best life in Canada, and precious little Pebbles will be the Apple of her mommy’s eye on Long Island in NY. Happy lives sweet babies. We love you and couldn’t be happier for you. Congratulations to your new forever families 🎉🥰🐾As we prepare to approach the end of the year, we ask for your support to help us prepare to start next year on solid footing. As we get ready to leave for the east coast this afternoon, I just realized that I never got around to posting about our last New England trip of October. These precious dogs all went to adopters and rescues all over New England and, as always, we are thrilled to have been able to provide their transport to wonderful futures. 🥰🐶🥰🐶🥰🐶🥰🐶🥰🐶

Another one of our precious pups made his way to New York this weekend, where is wonderful forever family was anxiously awaiting his arrival 💙🧡💙🧡💙 BamBam (one of our Flintstone kids) is going to be so loved and spoiled.💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾 These are the moments that fill us with joy and gratitude. 🥰 Have a happy life sweet boy. We love you and can’t wait for updates❣️❣️❣️❣️

To a backdrop of bright blue skies and stunning fall foliage, we were excited to transport a total of 33 dogs & puppies to Ohio, New York, New Hampshire and New Jersey. 🍁🐶🥰🐾 It has been a long and exhausting trip but seeing these dogs (most of them from Operation Pets Alive) go to great adopters and rescues, makes every ounce of hard work worthwhile. 😍😍😍 We delivered dogs to For the sake of being humane., New Hampshire Humane Society, @Conway Humane Society, and adopters for SOCA - FBC and AJC Rescue & Transport. As we make our way back home, we are filled with joy and gratitude that we are able to be part of theses dogs’ rescue journey. 🩷🩷🩷 We are grateful for your continued support as we try to grow our program, so we can make an even bigger difference by helping more dogs live the lives they deserve. 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾 Your donations are an integral part of our activities. We are so thrilled to announce that 2 more of our wonderful pups have been adopted and are now with loving forever families 🩷🐶🩷🐶🩷🐶🩷. Joey was welcomed into a wonderful family in NY and will have a mom, dad, 3 human and 3 feline siblings. Koda (nka Daisy) went to a wonderful family in PA where she will have multiple furry siblings, a mom & dad who already adore her, and several acres to romp to her heart’s content. Happy lives sweet babies ❤️. We love you and look forward to updates 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾
