Mogie is a VIP (Very Important Pooch) at Ronald McDonald House Houston. He spends his days bringing smiles to the families who call our House home. In his five years of residency, he has brought a new level of joy to RMH Houston. Mogie was born on November 30, 2008, one of 8 puppies welcomed by Lone Star Labradoodles, a breeder in The Woodlands, Texas, just north of Houston. His puppy family lives
so close, that he even gets to visit with some of them at dog parks occasionally. Standing 25” tall and 40” long from the tip of his nose to the tip of his wagging tail, he weighs about 30 pounds and has brown eyes, dirty blond hair, and the longest puppy eyelashes you’ve ever seen. Since Mogie is a Labrador/Poodle mix, he’s hypoallergenic, doesn’t shed, and is as gentle and playful as can be. A generous donor bought the right to name Mogie at a RMH Houston charity event. The donor submitted three names which were put to a vote by the children of Ronald McDonald House Houston. The name Mogie won by a landslide! Mogie also has received world-class training from Jim Burwell of Jim Burwell’s Petiquette, and is always on his best behavior. You could say Mogie lives the life. He sleeps at RMH Houston Monday through Friday and has a big back yard to play in with all of his families, up to 50 of them when the House is full. He’s also got the staff at his beck and call. No one can resist this pooch’s charm! Mogie truly turns Ronald McDonald House Houston into a home away from home for the critically children and their families who stay here.
