alking and Pet Sitting was created by Jennifer Ridgway, an avid animal lover and mother to 3 rescues; Razorclaw, Sprinkles and Lady, now fondly known as Mrs. Through my rewarding volunteer work I was introduced to Lady last spring and immediately fell in love with her. Lady was rescued in late 2012 by a caring police officer, saving her from suffering on the streets in Houston's East End. Lady was diagnosed with bone cancer in one of her rear legs and she was patiently waiting in boarding for a medical foster. I took this sweet pit mix into my home in July and after she was settled into her new home we decided the time was right for her right rear leg amputation. I officially adopted Lady at the end of last year, giving both of us the BEST Christmas present ever! Lady is happy, healthy and cancer free!
