⚠️ Heat Warning for Pet Owners ⚠️

This summer, our Animal Cruelty Investigators have rescued multiple dogs suffering from heat distress. These emergencies are preventable. Never leave pets outside without shade, water, or in hot cars, even for a few minutes. This video is a reminder of how quickly an animal can go into heat distress.

Meet Ollie, a handsome senior gelding with a heart of gold and plenty of go! This bold, been-there-done-that guy is a light riding partner who’s happy to walk, trot, and canter, even ba****ck. He’s confident on the trails and loves having a job to do.

Ollie is best suited for a confident rider, as he can be forward at times, but he’s incredibly safe and always looks out for his person.

Our Story

Established in 1924, the Houston SPCA’s Campus For All Animals serves as the leading animal protection and rescue organizations in the country with the ability to care for the broadest range of animal species, types of abuse and injury, and magnitude of large-scale, multiple-animal cases – all in one location. They provide rescue and care for companion animals, horses and farm animals, and exotics while Houston SPCA’s Wildlife Center of Texas receives over 11,000 wild animals comprising over 360 species each year. The Houston SPCA impacts more than 50,000 animals each year, from owner-surrendered pets to found, rescued and displaced animals. We’re here to help animals in need—no matter how they get here.
