Bhoo has earned her first of three qualifying scores for her Intermediate Rally Title. This journey of training and testing our skills at obedience trials has been a fantastic way to identify our strengths and areas for improvement.

Bhoo is the first Doberman that I have taken the time to train for competition obedience. I have learned so far that training is 80% how good I am at communicating what I want Bhoo to do. The easy part is teaching her what I want. The hard part is self-awareness about what I am doing with my body. If you want to improve your Doberman behavior outside the house, call me, and I can help you get going in the right direction. There is a perfect choice for you and your Dobi. Rally, Obedience, Agility, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, and Dock Diving.

**Please note:** This event is for those wanting to learn about Doberman Pinschers. Please do not bring your Dobermans because the American Kennel Club only allows dogs in the Dog Show to be in the building.

I took these photos yesterday and thought they featured the Doberman head nicely.

Breed standards describe the Doberman's head as:

Long and dry: This means the head is lean and free from excess flesh or wrinkles.

Resembling a blunt wedge: When viewed from the front or side, the head tapers gradually from the base of the ears towards the nose, forming a wedge shape.

Parallel planes: The top of the skull and the muzzle line are parallel to each other.

Essentially, the Doberman head should have a clean, angular appearance with a strong, well-defined muzzle.

Happy Halloween!!
We had a Halloween Party today with training games for our dogs. It was a blast! This photo shows chaos stopped in time. LOL!
