Are you looking (or know someone looking) for a part-time job? Join our team as our Afternoon Helper!

Our Afternoon Helper is an integral part of keeping our facility safe for under vaccinated puppies. Job description includes cleaning kongs, yards, and equipment, filling enrichment toys with food, helping with creative retail projects, and more. You will be around the puppies in Day School and have the chance to learn from the puppy experts. This part-time position works Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

As many of our followers know, we have one of the best reactive dog group classes in Houston! But their learning doesn't end after our initial 6-week class. These amazing dog-human teams have continued their reactivity journey by taking our Reactive Rover Basic Manners class! Our goal in this class is to work on basic skills like: Sit, down, recall, loose leash walking, spin, take a bow, middle, stay ALL WHILE taking down barriers between these reactive dogs.

By class 6, these dogs were all able to work out in full sight of one another with no barriers! Amazing work! Congratulations 🎊 to:

These smiling faces are our most recent Intermediate Skills Grads! Congratulations! This class may have been small, but they made up for it with big personalities and amazing work ethic.

This class builds upon what our dog-human teams learned in Basic Manners or Puppy Class Part 2. We worked on a "place" cue, adding the 3 D's of dog training (Distance, Durations, Distraction) to our "stay" cue, further proofing our "leave it" cue, and strengthened our communication and relationship as well!

A HUGE congratulations 🎊 to our most recent Basic Manners Graduates! Only 5% of dog owners seek out professional training with their dogs, so these dog and human teams are in the top few percent of dog owners!

I'm this class. These dog and human teams learned how to teach their ESL four-legged family members more effective communication, strengthened their relationship, and helped them learn new behaviors in a fun way!

We don't only cover "obedience" but super important life-saving skills as well, such as: "leave it", recall, and how to redirect unwanted behaviors.

All in the presence of other dogs and strangers! Training in a group class at a facility provides college-level distractions for our dogs to work around! Our goal is always progress, not perfection. No human is perfect, and our dogs aren't robots. These human-dog teams learned to work together and work through difficult days. The pawrents also learned about satisfying their dogs' needs, enrichment ideas, different kinds of walks, and how to effectively communicate with their dog in a new way!
Our dogs are ESL students. They aren't born understanding a spoken language. By taking classes like this one, these amazing pawrents are helping their dog navigate more effectively in the human world!

Amazon boxes, toilet paper & paper towel rolls OTHER ACTIVITIES: 1. Shredding paper bags, wrapping paper, junk mail, head of cabbage, etc. 2. A scratchboard that filed your dog’s nails! 3. A sniffy ball pit using tiny treats and a baby pool or a box.
