Regular nail trim clients Preston and Sky did their best teenager impressions today.
One would want attention during the others ones trim, but nooooooo, that did not mean nail trimming. The same was true with each ones's chewy, they only wanted their own when the other one wanted it:)
Preston has matured a bunch, Sky obeys instructions fast, then sees something shiny. This is also why there are more pictures of Preston.
With great holding, all nails trimmed!

Fluffy is a regular nail trim client who just started coming here for them.
He is very much a home body, so not thrilled to be here, but was very good, even after I accidentally cut a nail.
There is no charge for the trim when I do.
You can see how much happier he was back at home.
Thank you for trusting me with your baby.

HUGE positive steps in Snowman's nail trim sessions!
I would like to think it was two things I added, but it was really adding a male to the family.
Braden was terrific holding this midsized snapping gator.
That male with male set up was great. Often dogs do better with their non primary human; with this baby, I don't think it would have been as successful with a female.
I usually engage an oven mitt, but that limits my fingers, so today I used this pineapple hat. I can Velcro it on while leaving my fingers free. He gets to bite it with impunity.
I also used xlarge trimmers, which allowed said fingers to be further from his teeth.
This all took less than half the previous times.
Yes, Snowman, we finally outflanked you, only took 3 people:)

This is a little long. I wanted to share how different options work and that I'm open to learning. The pineapple solution came to me about 3:30 this morning.

Welcome today to new at home trim clients Ivy and Cooper!
They were both very good....Ivy has perfected a stank eye but controlled it pretty well.
They have had training and both humans assisted in treat dispersalm

One time nail trim schedule change and time change at Greater Good only.

No trims at Greater Good on Sept 6th. Instead

Trims at Greater Good Sept 13 from 12-2 (only on Sept 13th)and 20th, 1-2.

Still at PurrsnBarks in Copperfield on Sept 6th and 20th, 10:30-11:45.

This is new nail trim client, thanks here also to Greater Good staff for the recommendation.
Sourdough is a young female just adopted. I liked that she had a new collar from the rescue that is a safety collar, these are great for many breeds. This type was invented for racing greyhounds and has saved many of that slender necked breed from escaping.
I foolishly forgot until later that brachecephalic breeds such as pugs should not have this type of restraint. I hope the new owner sees this.
She was only a teeny squirmy, I still accidentally nicked her dew claw, so no charge.

Precious Nika is 17 years old.
She was much more antimated in person, often the camera changes the whole dynamic.
No squirmies from her either, it was fast and she was happy to leave me.

Male Yorkies are often very chill; females not so much.
Miss P was very good, she surprised me with how few squirmies escaped from her.
