We wanted to give a BIG Thank You for the great Thanksgiving Holiday turn out. Many of you tried our new groomer, Joann, for the first time and the reviews have been TERRIFIC.

We are now entering into the Christmas Holiday Season so please make your reservations as soon as possible. Don't forget to have your pet groomed and bathed so they are fresh for your family and friends to enjoy.

Our Story

We have proudly served Kingwood and the surrounding communities since 1979. The Original Kennel of Kingwood started as Kingwood Kennels, in humble beginnings in our families utility room. We changed our name in 2012 to highlight that we were the first boarding kennel in Kingwood, and with our love for our furry friends and the loyalty of our clients, it has grown to what you see today, a state of the art pet compound with a larger office, more kennels, a dedicated day care building, grooming, a dog park (see originalkennel.com to see what’s coming) and in the Summer of 2020, no kennel, Free Range Boarding. All this and a committment to treating your pets like our family. We pride ourselves on making your pets stay a fun and pleasant experience every visit. “Your pet’s home away from home” has been our goal from inception all those decades ago and still rings true today.
