Abandoned by her family who just up and left. They left her tied, helpless and vunerable to any danger or starvation. Then there are her very young babies, no food, no water. left to die a miserable death. Who are these people? How black can their hearts be?
Thankfully, Vero Garcia found them and released mama. She and her little family are enroute to #hankshope at this very minute. They caught a ride with Aracely Maria Estrada who is bring the pregnant Terrier mix and a sweet and sad blind Husky. It's going to be a busy busy day but at least five more lives saved from the cruelty of the Rio Grande Valley. We'll take it.

Someone woke up this morning and decided he/she didn't want to be bothered with a mama and new puppies so they loaded her up, drove her to a trash pile and dumped her.
A vulnerable pregnant, about to give birth, sweet dog who didn't deserve such horrible betrayal. Thankfully Aracely Maria Estrada had to drive down that way and spotted this precious angel.

Dakota's up for her first try at fetch and she's killing it!
She's a few days past her spay surgery and we found that she was pregnant. Thankfully, she is feeling better and wearing that beautiful smile more often.
She's such a stunning girl with such a sweet temperament. We're so happy her life was saved.

Sent a dog off for transport this morning and just 5 minutes after dropping him, I see this sweet boy hanging outside the fence of an industrial site off the freeway.
Getting our numbers down seems to be the ever elusive goal.

The Cleveland pups are all sleeping like angels. Their journey of hunger and sadness is over.
When the feeders are ready to throw their hands up, everyone tells them to not give up. People make pledges in desperation. Apparently, these pups had pledges of between 2,500 & 3,000.
Rescues learn quickly not to depend on pledges. That's a recipe for disaster. But wouldn't it be nice if those who pledged did come through? It helps the rescues that are already struggling with so many medical expenses.
We are happy to help these innocent lives. Please, those who pledged, please come through for them now. We have to work together to save lives.

Sometimes you just need to know. This is our heartfelt beg for donations. We need to know what exactly we are dealing with. Espresso is only 4 years and if we can fix this, we want to fix this!
It is possible to Espresso is suffering from either of these conditions: L2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria or cerebellar cortical degeneration. Neither is fixable and she would just have to live with either condition until the end.
However, if this is a condition that we can fix, we need to do right by Espresso. She even has a hospice foster waiting to take her in if these are her last few months.
We have an appointment with Texas A&M scheduled for next Monday. Espresso will need an MRI and those aren't cheap. We need to raise at minimum. $3,500.
