Full body clip with what I call the “western pad with attached girth strap” for that added protection and comfort and with spur patches. This pads purpose is for those horses with the extra sensitive spine. Maybe your horse had kissing spine surgery or they get extremely ‘cold backed’ or maybe it’s both. Whatever the reason, this is a great option for that extra comfort during the cold months. The girth strap is just for the added comfort to your horses, like for this guy he’s a thin skinned OTTB who did in fact have kissing spine surgery and his owner/trainer just wanted that extra cushion comfort during their rides.

Charly is also the horse who needs slow and steady. Posted on my page is a review and tagged post left by the owner if you’d like to take a p*ek at that! My normal time slots are 2hrs per horse, however Charly needed 3.5hrs and we were able to avoid any and all TQ!! It’s about listening and being able to read a horse when you know they start getting a little anxious. They will warn you, you just have to listen. Once you hear it, move back to a spot that wasn’t stressful, allow them to fully relax again and then proceed to slowly move back to where you left off and repeat the process til that spot is complete (or some horses will just say absolutely not, that’s fine, move on again and reassess at the end).

If you want the best possible experience for clipping shoot me a text at 9088395909 for pricing, bookings and any other questions you may have! I’m here to help and give you everything you want and more! 🩵🐴

**For no lines ever the horse MUST be fully bathed (using any sort of scrub/bathing brush with teeth) and dried at the time of their appt.
Any sort of Dirt = very bad and probably lines
Poo or p*e stains from over night stalling = still very clean horse and you’ll get the no lines look**

Some charms I’ve been working on!!
With some photos at the end of happy customers with their new custom charms & additional charms but not on my handmade charms, the customers wanted them braided into the manes. *these are braids done by me* (these are photoed for show, they are to be put attached to the braids when you’re ready to get on your horse so they do not break if mane is rubbed).

I did one with my heart pony’s name and an additional charm of to show what it could look like with your horses name! With or without an additional charm.

One with “Spooky Season” and an additional bat charm and one for breast cancer with a hidden message! It fully reads “I Can Fight Cancer” with no additional charm.

And the rest are just to show off different colored letter charms, ones with hearts on them and the different colored spacers I have available and two with additional charms & one without!

Right now these charms are only able to be delivered to local customers until I get everything in order to start shipping. Once that happens I will update! Also working on getting an Etsy shop up & running!

Please text or PM for more info!

New charm alert made by yours truly!!! These specific custom charms are to support Breast Cancer Awareness, idea from Liz Stinston & I ran with it!!! I loveeeee these, so much fun to make and you can just about put anything you want (there is a character limit though & extra pieces are additional), very durable and strong string with two clasps that are strongly tide on for you to add to your braids before you compete! You can put strength and supporting words/sayings, your horses name, your name, etc! I have about 6 or 7 different color letters to choose from, little colored hearts, and a variety of different colored spacers! Send me a direct message to Shann Hankel or text me 908-839-5909 for more info!

Photos of the braids I did last night (minus black horse, that was a braider in training, the owner, who did fantastic for her second time braiding!) with the charms I did personally & my regular themed charms! Sooo cute 🥰

These can also be made into key chains with or without the second clasp!

Disclaimer: All custom word charms are meant to be put on before you show, even though the string is strong, it’s still breakable with enough force or pressure from a horse. Not meant to be left on overnight even under a sleeze bc they hang low and will not be found liable.

**The Owner of Parker has given me permission to speak on how important it is to give a bath before any horse gets clipped and use the photo ( #1) that she sent me when inquiring. **

Parker’s owner found out her new boy has cushings and his hair was so thick and long that your hand would be lost, no joke! So as any good owner, she wanted to give Parker a shave, but she didn’t think a bath was necessary. She would quickly find out that’s not true at all. His owner gave me a call to discuss what was going on and my first question was “did you give him a bath before you attempted to clip him”? She said no. I then explained why it’s important to give a bath. For example, the dirt is caked into the skin, not the surface of the hair, therefore, you are just pulling the hair out rather than gliding through the hair. When dirt is on the skin the blades simply cannot pass through with ease, just like when hair is wet or sweaty. The blades just get stuck and make all uneven cuts (see photo 1). You are more likely to also nick/cut your horse with the blades because you’re applying so much unneeded pressure as apposed to when the hair is bathed and clean.
She and her friend then gave Parker a 2.5 HOUR bath the day before (he stayed in his stall right after that), he was that dirty! She also realized he had some scratches (fungus) on his hind legs. She never would have known that if she didn’t give him the bath and when you don’t know what lies under all that hair you can really hurt the horse. (Unintentionally of course)
Parker’s owner was with us the entire clip and as she was watching me she saw how swiftly my blades were going through his hair. He even had mats on certain parts of his body and I was able to get them off without cutting him or pulling on him too hard. I was able to just use a nice holding pressure and easily worked my blades through going in different directions.

Take a really good look at these photos. I’m not lying or trying to be difficult when I tell you, you must give your horses a bath every time before he/she gets clipped. You can bathe the day before if that’s when the weather is warmer, but they must be stalled after if they have a stall. If you’re a field boarder that’s okay! You just have to either bathe the day of (to which we will always have an afternoon appt, you need about 4hours to dry) or the day before you have to put a fly sheet with a neck or a sheet with a neck on once they fully dry. The day of you may have to rewash the legs if they got overly dirty or muddy (so give yourself enough time to check) and then a really great grooming on their body and head.

If you have any other questions please ask away! I love educating about proper clipping. If you’d like to make an appointment/inquire for pricing please text me at 9088395909

I also would love to say how much of a pleasure I had today meeting Parker and his owner! She is the sweetest and wants to learn so much! I had so much fun today clipping and teaching her more about what I do. Parker was soooo sweet and such a good soul! He stood for the whole 2.5hours it took me to fully clip him and I have to say the photo does not do him justice at all!!

I hope this helps clear up any confusion on why it’s so important to bathe your horses before they get clipped and if any clipper disagrees, well, you might want to second guess your decision. Just saying 🩵

As always I appreciate all my clients for their trust in me and I appreciate everyone who decides to use me as their clipper!🩵

🩵🥰 my job is just so rewarding!! Getting hugs from Lottie after our first session together

Friendly Reminder: it’s now bathing season! I can no longer work with those who don’t have the indoor wash stall access(trace clips depending, full body a must). We will play the weather if need be! Rescheduling will not be a problem! Bathing is sooooo sooooo important for not only my equipment but your horses skin health! I cannot get through dirty hair! If you want examples let me know! I’ll provide photos if anyone wants to see.

I felt super rusty last night for some reason, but The King “Luck N Roll K” was the most perfect gentle man ever!! He made my first night back braiding so pleasant. He was falling asleep the whole time, it was perfect with just the two of us! And thanks to his amazing owner Brielle Roman gives me some creative freedom and I thought what better than some grand champion inspired braids!
I hope they had a great show day 💙❤️💛
