Miss Sophia is a short haired Calico spayed female DOB 11/16/23

Sophia is a very sweet and social cat. She gets along with kids, dogs and other cats. She has been an easy cat to have in her foster home.

Sophia came from a shelter with her kittens. She was a great mom and now it's her turn to find a home of her own.

Found female cat while being hit by car
I pulled over and brought it in my car as she took her last breath.
now I’m looking for its owner if the owner would like her back to bury 😢
I was driving on E. Commerce Rd. somewhere passing by duck Lake Road area
And she started across the road at the same time that the car in front of me didn’t have a chance to consider stopping and accidentally hit her

Good morning,

I thought I would give you a quick update on River (Weston River). He's doing very well. About 28 pounds, and healthy as a horse. As you can see by the pictures, he is definitely growing, and as you can tell by the size of his paw, he's most likely going to be more along the lines of livestock than dog! I did a DNA test on him, and found out that he was 51% German Shepherd, and a mixture of about 12 other breeds, to include husky, lab, pitbull, and other terrier mixes.

Meet Sunshine Boy

Sunshine Boy is a long haired orange & white neutered male DOB 2/19/11

Sunshine Boy was brought into us by a young man for his grandma. He said that he had been injured by something. Turns out his fur was so matted he was having a lot of issues. He had a bad cold as well that wasn't treated and one of his eyes needed to be removed. He is a really sweet and loving boy and needs a home to live his best life in!!!!

He does well with cats, dogs and children.

We are looking for his family that will be willing to keep up with brushing and grooming, but we don’t think that’ll be a problem because he loves attention!

He is very food motivated. :)

He is fixed, up to date on distemper combo vaccines as well as rabies, dewormed with a general dewormer a few times,, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV virus. Adoption fee is $200.

COLTON 6 months old neutered male This is the sweet boy we took in from VCA in Brighton. He had had his leg somehow missing and his tail was degloved. He had surgery and is doing great. His stitches come off this week and he will be available for adoption. Anyone interested can fill out our online application. He is fixed, dewormed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped. His adoption fee is $250

Success with the creating of the cat and dog stockings for our 3 day Christmas fundraiser. A big THANK YOU to Brie and Lisa for volunteering to get them all done. We are hoping to get everything posted tomorrow. Here's a video of someone who was that so helpful 😊

LOOK WHO IS FEELING SO MUCH BETTER!!!! MEET COLTON ❤️🐾❤️ Yesterday's surgery on Colton was successful. He did great even though it was a long surgery. They took his pelvis off, docked his tail and neutered him. He was even purring while he was waking up. He looks, feels and smells so much better. This boy is a super love bug and absolutely gorgeous. He need a few weeks to heal and get a stitches out before going up for adoption. Definitely a favorite in his foster home.

MEET Sweetie & Minnie These are two sisters that are each looking for their own home. They're both super sweet and social. Great with kids, cats & dogs. Their Foster mom has for large dogs, biggest one being 171 lb and they're fine with them. 😊❤️🐾

FEELING BLESSED. ❤️🐾❤️ In the middle of the day yesterday I got a call at 1:00 p.m. on my way to Ann arbor for a doctor's appointment. One of the awesome vet clinics that we use said their surgery day was going faster than planned. They asked us to bring up the two puppies needing leg amputations due to wire being tied around them. I quickly called one of our volunteer transporters. He literally jumped up, left the house and came to get the puppies and take them to the vet an hour away. I say all the time how running this rescue takes a village. I am so blessed to have so many people in my village!!!! Both the puppies are doing great, eating and moving around. We are so happy to have this surgery behind them. 😊

Bad eye kitties now named Stevie and Ronnie (Wonder & Milsap 😊). Are doing great. Tomorrow is surgery day. They are both 1 lb 1 oz now. WOO HOO . Stevie can definitely see. ❤️❤️❤️

How we started

Our Mission Statement

Always Hope Animal Rescue is a foster based animal rescue group made up solely of volunteers. We do not have a facility; all of our animals live in pre-screened foster homes. We find loving forever homes for cats and dogs that we pull from high kill shelters or are no longer wanted by their owners. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested and micro chipped prior to adoption. We give the unwanted a new chance at life. For those, there is Always Hope

The directer puts her heart and soul into Always Hope Animal Rescue and will often say, “it takes a village” Saving as many lives as we do isn’t just done by one person. We have volunteers that are behind-the-scene that put together our adoption packets and folders, some that do our database, some just do fundraising and help at adoption events and others help with transport. We really rely on our volunteers and our fosters. We have an awesome group of people behind us.

As the directer of Always Hope I am very blessed to have so many caring people standing with me.
