NEW ADDITIONS

Meet Trike. He was pulled from Genesee county Animal shelter. He was been brought in with a mangled leg and some other injuries. With the help of Pawsitive Care in Holly his front leg was amputated and his wounds were addressed. He's doing great and eating. He will be available for adoption in two weeks when his leg heals.

This guy is super sweet and immediately began to purr once his painful leg was removed.

Welcome to Always Hope Animal Rescue little guy. You will never have to worry about being harmed like that again. ❤️🐾❤️

UPDATE ❤️🐾❤️

Oscar update! He is settled in and running the show now. He loves to watch cat tv and play with his kicker toys. We love him so much!

We are looking someone to join our volunteer team that cleans our cat cages at Pet Supplies Plus in Howell. We are looking to fill every other Wednesday.

There are only two cages up there so from start to finish it takes about 30 minutes depending on how much time you spend with the cats. Cleaning can be done anytime between the hours of 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

You will be making a difference in these cats lives as our cages give them a lot of exposure and we do a lot of adoptions because of that

Meet Malia. She was found by a good Samaritan and we were asked to take her. She is an absolute doll and purrs as soon as she sees you. She has beautiful markings.

She tested negative for feline leukemia and got her rabies today and will be vaccinated tomorrow. Once she is fixed she will go up for adoption.

Dottie is a Lab/Mountain Cur spayed female DOB 4/26/23

MEET DOTTIE

Dottie is a sweetheart. She's a lover. She loves giving kisses and hanging out with her humans. She is a very special and gentle dog who would be a great additional to a loving home.

Dottie is great with other dogs when introduced properly. She is currently living with another female dog and has been introduced to many but is shy at first. She just needs to gain some more confidence. She enjoys a stuffed Kong and loves to hang out in her yard and chase her squeaky ball. She knows basic commands like "leave it," "wait," and "stay." Just do not expect her to sit on command because she seems to think it is beneath her. :)

She is very smart and responds very well to positive reinforcement. She seems to be intimidated by young children, so proper introductions are important. Dottie is in a foster home with cats and wants to chase them. She does that want to hurt them, it's all about the chase so she would do best in a home with no cats.

She LOVES her walks and walks well on a leash. With a small treat as a reward, she gladly goes into her crate whenever she needs to. She is working on being totally housebroken, but she is still young and living indoors is new to her. She loves going on adventures and car rides.

She is fixed, UPD on vaccines including rabies, dewormed, heart worm tested negative and micro chipped. Adoption fee is $450.

MEET TREBLE ❤️🐾❤️ Treble is our latest tripod. She is going to heal for another week and then be available for adoption.

Meet Lola and Bugs. We are told they are feist, pug and beagle mix puppies. Super sweet and social. Getting fixed and will be available for adoption after 4/29. Will post closer to that date and start accepting applications.

Two new babies in foster care. A good Samaritan found a lady trying to give them away at a Walmart. They were both shivering and she knew she had to save them and asked us for help. They're eating and doing great ❤️🐾❤️

Tres is doing great on three legs. What a love this boy is. ❤️

❤️❤️YUKON❤️❤️ Yukon has definitely turned the corner this morning. Since he came in on Thursday, when he's with us he paces the whole time. I've never seen him lay down or sit down in our presents. I can approach him and pet him but he does not come to me. ALL OF THAT CHANGED THIS MORNING.!! I realized he was laying down like the other dogs and resting comfortably. A switch definitely flipped on this guy and he realizes he's going to be okay. He at some point was not handled correctly by humans but he is learning to trust. I am so proud of this boy. 😊😊

❤️YUKON❤️ I tried my best to get a good video of Yukon this morning. He was moving so much and I had to keep an eye on the other dogs since they just met, hold the phone and leash at the same time but HERE HE IS. He is a 2-year-old Lab -black mouthed cur mix neutered male. He weighs 65 lb right now and should weigh 10 more He is so sweet, no aggression at all shown, He did great with the foster puppy AND the fosters 4 big dogs. No interest in cats. He still very insecure right bow but this poor guy has been through the ringer. Anyone interested in a large breed dog message us. He is an absolute gem.

How we started

Our Mission Statement

Always Hope Animal Rescue is a foster based animal rescue group made up solely of volunteers. We do not have a facility; all of our animals live in pre-screened foster homes. We find loving forever homes for cats and dogs that we pull from high kill shelters or are no longer wanted by their owners. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested and micro chipped prior to adoption. We give the unwanted a new chance at life. For those, there is Always Hope

The directer puts her heart and soul into Always Hope Animal Rescue and will often say, “it takes a village” Saving as many lives as we do isn’t just done by one person. We have volunteers that are behind-the-scene that put together our adoption packets and folders, some that do our database, some just do fundraising and help at adoption events and others help with transport. We really rely on our volunteers and our fosters. We have an awesome group of people behind us.

As the directer of Always Hope I am very blessed to have so many caring people standing with me.
