Unfortunately our peanut did pass away last night. Yet Beth’s 3 babies are doing wonderful and growing so fast! Their eyes are open and they refuse to stay in the nest box no matter how many times I put them back in!! 🤣

I wanted to show everyone the difference between a peanut and a regular sized Holland Lop (Holland Lops being dwarfs) baby. On the left is a “peanut”. Peanuts are a baby that is born with the double dwarf gene so normally these babies do not make it due to internal issues. They are born half the size or less of their litter mates as you can see in the picture below. We are working on hand feeding this baby twice a day off of mom. There is a slight chance it will live but we want to see what can happen.

Good afternoon everyone! Dolly our VM black tort had a litter of 4 unfortunately they all passed the same night. Our Californian doe and tallulah did not have kits. We are still keeping an eye on Tallulah. The good news is Beth our BEW doe has 4 beautiful and healthy kits!

Our girl Beth had her kits last night, she is our smallest doe but an amazing momma. She had what appears to be 3 little BEWs.
Our Californian doe did not have any kits or pull fur last night so we will be watching her. She’s a first time mom so this is normal.

Goodmorning everyone! We have two litters due on the 18th, Holland lops and Californians! We have another two litters of Holland lops due on the 21rst. We have brought these four mommas into the garage with a fan on them to keep cool in this heat. I will post updates when kits are born!

Our red kunekune sow pumpkin, is also expecting baby’s here soon! We are not sure when she is due since her and pops live in a pen together. It seems like she’s due soon so we will be moving her by herself shortly!

Each year, thousands of baby rabbits, chicks, and ducks are purchased as Easter gifts, typically for children, only to be abandoned outside or left at shelters soon after. Many are also purchased to be used as props for Easter photoshoots. 👎

95% of “Easter bunnies” do not make it to age 1?

Texas Humane Legislation Network strongly urges parents and photographers to NOT buy these live, delicate animals as Easter gifts unless they’re ready to make a 10-year minimum commitment to care for them.

Did you know these rabbit facts?
🐇 Rabbits are not “low-maintenance” pets — they need as much care and attention as dogs and cats. It can take longer to bond with them since they are prey animals and can be much more fearful.
🐇 Rabbits are the third most frequently surrendered animal at shelters and the third most euthanized.
🐇 According to an ASPCA study, rabbits are more expensive to own than cats or guinea pigs — coming just after dogs in expense.
🐇 Rabbits need to be spayed/neutered to prevent cancer and unwanted litters. Up to 80% of female rabbits will develop uterine cancer by age 4-6 if not spayed.
🐇 Rabbits need to live inside the home for their safety and health, with 2-4 hours of exercise time in a bunny-proofed environment each day.
🐇 Rabbits need routine veterinary care by a specialized vet.

I know this is a late post but I just got off of work, I will NOT work with Rozy Reyes transport. I do not care what the situation or circumstances are. I have seen what has been done to so many rabbits during their time with her. No food, water, left in a snow storm, on a trailer, etc. This is a case of ANIMAL ABUSE and is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I do basic checks before any of my animals go to new homes or on any transports. I refuse to do any service with her and it is a topic I stand by and will be unarguable. I do not want the drama that comes along with this, yet I feel this needed to be said after how many breeders/owners came out with their stories. This is so saddening and needs to be noticed by everyone. I’ve worked with her on two animals a rabbit which made it safely thank god. As well as a bottle baby cavy, it makes me question did she bottle feed him in the 3 days she had him? He needed to be fed every 3 hours. I feel horrible for letting helpless animals go with her, also for my customers who had to pay her for this. I don’t believe she deserves any sympathy, especially after charging $10-$20 more than a reliable transport, JUST TO NOT FEED OR WATER HELPLESS ANIMALS!!!!! I’m so lucky do have not put any rabbits on with her yet, I am disgusted with this entire situation, I truly hope everyone can get the justice they deserve. I pray that nothing like this ever happens again. Thank you all for understanding.

Unfortunately all three of our Holland lop litters gotten taken by something. We are assuming it was rats. We’ve always had barn rats and have never had this issue. We are hoping to breed these does again in the next couple of days and all babies will be moved inside when born.

Hello everyone! I know I have been super delayed with posting. As some of you know we got rid of almost our entire herd and restarted. I am working on getting pictures of all of our new bucks and does at this time, we also added Californians to our Rabbitry and will possibly be adding another new breed! I finally got to where I am wanting to be with our Rabbitry, so with that being said we have 3 litters on the way!!
