So so happy with the progress being made with KT’s hooves! These particular pictures are of her RF. Pictures without fly boot are from Feb 2022, and the other pics are from today.
The back of the hoof and frog tissues are looking so much healthier, and the heels have come back so much. We are still working on getting the toes back a bit, but the new foot growth is looking very promising!

I feel so fortunate to have come across this mare on FB about a year ago. This may not seem like much to the average horse person, but it has been such a privilege to help KT grow and thrive the past 11 months or so.
When she arrived last June, she was thin, weary, and dull. I was putting about 12lbs of food into her a day (other than free choice hay), and her feet were so awful and sore that she really wasn’t ready to be in a full training regimen until this past February.
Now, when I look at her, I see a mare who is beautiful, expressive, resilient, athletic, intelligent, and spirited. Her training has really been clicking together recently, and I just feel so lucky to have her.

I was SO proud of her in the clinic today. She left me speechless with her work ethic, and I was grinning ear to ear when I dismounted.
Thanks for the ride, as always, baby girl 🧡
