Happy 9th Birthday to my Bishop! 🎉The baby seal pup. 🦭

When it was the 3 of them (Challa, Bishop and Odin), Bishop was like the mother. The worrier. The nurturer. ❤️ The dynamic is different now that Challa is gone. I know he still thinks about his brother… his true companion.

After everything, I’m so grateful we get our Bishy (and Odin) to pour our love into in Challa’s absence. I will be thankful for every day I get to see those beautiful orange eyes!🧡

I know there is so many more walks, runs, car rides and sun bathing sessions to be had! I love you my Bishy boy.😘

September was a great month, until it wasn’t.

September was the last month we got with our baby, Challa.

I honestly can’t begin to write about him now. I plan to at a later time. But in late September we learned that Challa had cancer and fluid surrounding his heart. Our world turned upside down that day. It was all very sudden and it moved so fast…

I’ll just remember this month as our last days with our boy. I had no idea at the time that I’d walk Challa with his brother, Bishop for the last time together. My heart drops at the idea of leashing up Bishop alone.

Challa was just such a big part of our family. I feel so lucky that we could be blessed with the life and love he gave us.

August was all the things!😮‍💨

Expensive…Fun…Anxiety-inducing…Spontaneous…Overwhelming! 🫣

(All the stressful events were because of my personal life and not business related!)

The month started off with randomly having to get a biopsy on the bottom of my foot making it so I had to cancel some walks. 🙄

Then our “relaxing” family camping trip totally failed because of weather and ended with an abrupt return home because my dog, Odin was hospitalized. (He is okay now, THANK GOODNESS!😭💓)

To top it off, the day of the tropical storm I got a flat tire and because of a lost wheel lock key… I had to get it towed to the dealership.😅😂

With all the being said, this month didn’t suck. I realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many supportive and understanding people. My family, friends and clients made stressful situations, WAY less stressful by just being awesome humans. 🥹

As you can see, I was still able to enjoy my month! I got to petsit at four different places and do my walks and drop ins. While still getting some free time with my loved ones.❤️

JULY DIGEST ☁️ Here’s a throwback pic for this month’s recap!

July was so good! Business has been so busy I’ve had to learn to say “no” a few times which is really weird! I’m beginning to struggle with the fact that I can’t be three places at once which is a great problem to have. 😂

While I’ve been running around from petsitting job to petsitting job I also get to visit other clients with walks and drop ins!❤️

I’ve been walking so much my right hip has started to give up on me…😂👵🏼 I’m trying to learn how to make time for days off. Emphasis on TRYING.

In other news my crochet hobby has turned into a mini business! I’ve been working on commissions and might even have bigger news on the way! 👀💗🧶 If you’re interested in that I share more on my personal account :)

Also this month I had my first giveaway! To be totally transparent I pushed it off for so long because I was nervous no one would care… but to my surprise you guys seemed to love it!💚 It’s truly been one of the coolest things to build this business from the ground up and create bonds with you and your fur babies.

I just want to reiterate how grateful I am that I get to do this as my job… like wow. February me would not believe it. 😭

✨With that, happy August Odini fam! I hope you enjoy the last month of summer… I’m personally so freaking excited for the fall and (hopefully) cold weather soon!☺️🍂

JUNE WAS MY FAVORITE💛

In June I spent exactly half of the month overnight petsitting away from home! On top of that I was busy with walks, drop ins and meet and greets…

☯️ I really leaned into enjoying the moment… whether I’m at home or away from home with your precious fur babies.

I have truly been enjoying it all.❤️

Welp…it’s a week into June and I finally realized another month’s begun and I had totally forgotten about my recap!😂

May was CRAZY!😅
Reflecting on it though, the lessons learnt (and still learning) were very necessary.

Lessons meaning…
☀️ My mental and physical health just HAVE to be a priority.

☀️ It’s time to actually take my vestibular migraine diagnosis seriously. (My body’s not giving me an option anymore.) 😬

☀️ Surrender to the moment and be grateful for the life I’m building and the hard work it’s taken. I’ve never been good at stopping to celebrate my achievements but I’m not making that mistake this time.

⚡️Odini has been really picking up this month and it’s kinda surreal. It’s so freaking exciting.

And it’s highlighting even more, the things I need to work on to assure I’m the best I can be!💛

I can’t believe how quickly this all has gone by and how lucky I am to be in the position I’m in. ‘Till next month…💕

This is what the highlight of my days have looked like recently…❤️

I’ve been struggling with chronic migraine (including many symptoms outside of headache). And it’s been hard.

It’s taken a toll on my mental health. But what seems to always help me from under my dark cloud is showing up for your babies. ❤️ I’m thankful this job came to me when it did.

These animals have healing powers.

Reflecting on April…

Oh, what a fun month it’s been! 🥳

(I thought this time I would share some more personal pictures with you all because I KNOW you’ve seen the cute pics on the job!😂)

This month I truly got to experience what I want my life to feel like. 😧

💫 My work and my personal life flourished and I am LOVING how they mesh together.

To be vulnerable, I have struggled HARD with anxiety my whole life. It’s very hard for my day to day not to feel dreadful and scary. 🫠

But ever since I started working with animals, I actually LOOK FORWARD to my week ahead. 🥹

The overthinking and dread has been replaced with present moment awareness…

I enjoy my rest time at home when I get it.

And I equally enjoy my work time, tending to your fur babies.

🤗 It may not sound like anything outrageous but it’s a huge breakthrough for me.

It’s just another sign that I’m on the right path. ☀️ What a beautiful journey this has been already, and I’m excited to continue!
