Foster kitten update. Sometime even our best intentions arent enough. We lost 3 kittens this week. It has been a hard time, especially for our foster homes who cared for these kittens. Bowie, a sweet and talkative kitten, came to us as a stray. Two of Mama Willow's kittens passed away, just about two weeks old. We are thankful that they knew love. Please keep our foster homes in your thoughts. Thank you.

Adopted! Siblings from OH, Squeakers and Maui, have been adopted! They now have a new canine brother and get to spend the rest of their lives together. We are so happy for them. Congrats and thank you to their new family. Thanks to their foster homes for fostering!

They were confiscated from owner due to unsafe home and need our help. Foster must be able to commit to helping till pups are 8 weeks old. Rescue provides supplies and medical. All animals deserve better.

“She was 18. Her people, who loved her whole life, took her, a vaccination booklet, a leash, a collar and her belongings and took her to the Baldwin Park shelter. They said they were tired of fighting with an older dog, signed papers and left, without even looking at her.
When she was picked up by a volunteer at the shelter, she leaned on him probably wishing it was all just an ugly dream.
The moment was immortalized by photographer John Hwang, who was in the shelter at the time.
Unfortunately, dogs love sincerely, with all their heart, with all their soul and are unable to understand that human 'love forever' most often has an expiration date.. - to annual, to moving, to illness, to old age...

Fostering truly saves lives! In this case...5 lives. Thanks to our foster Jason and his family, this Mama cat and her 8 day old kittens came into rescue last night from a kill shelter that was overcrowded. They are safe and now able to be a family in a stressfree home. Kittens available in 7 weeks. Thank you so much Jason and family for saving their lives!

Meet Licorice! Look at her beautiful blue eyes! Just over 6 months old and about 25-30lbs. She came into rescue last night from a S IL shelter, where her past owners dropped her off, along with littermates, after they could no longer care for them. Meet Enzo! He just came into rescue last night from a kill shelter in S IL. He was picked up as a stray and we are thankful we are able to save this boy. He is about 2 yrs old. Friendly and playful. He is BFF with Licorice, a 6 month old wirehaired girl from the same shelter as Enzo. They play like crazy. Enzo is a compact, about 40lbs. Please share this post and help him find a forever home. Or preventing you from going on holiday... don't try to speak it well for yourself then. He's just sitting there waiting. He’s waiting for you to come get him and bring him home. He's been waiting for seconds, minutes, hours, days, years... 🥹

Fosters needed for these 2! Licorice is the wirehaired Lab mix (?) about 8 mo. old and Enzo is a Basset mix about 2-3 yrs old.
