Drake the 11 year old Yorkshire terrier took his first swim today. Drake has some arthritis and his mom needed a safe exercise outlet. If your dog has some stiff joints and limited mobility come try a swim with us.

It’s going to be extremely hot this weekend. Why not come inside away from the sun and take a swim with us?
Asa brought his friend Finn today for his first swim. After a little coaching Finn became an excellent water dog.

We now offer individual beginner dock diving lessons on our website. These can be booked at any available time slot and not require a weekly commitment. We have struggled filling classes but the individual sessions have been going great. For this option the only requirement is that your dog swims. This video is of Skye at her first lesson. Not all dogs will jump from the dock on their first lesson.

Jet and Toast came out yesterday. They both had a blast. I do want remind everyone that today is the last day for the half price small pool. There are several openings for the small pool but the larger pool is almost completely booked for today.

We are offering special pricing on our small pool Friday through Sunday this week. If you ever thought about seeing if your dog is a swimmer or just haven’t came out in a while this is the perfect time to. The small pool will be $15 per session this weekend only. This is pool rental only and does not include first timer sessions or swim with instructor sessions. This is not valid with any other discounts or promotions. Just send us a message before booking to get the discount code.

Yesterday was international Corgi day. I meant to post this then but time got away. This is Kristen owned by Leslie Reed. She is one of our weekly stay and swim dogs. I don’t know a lot about Corgi’s but Kristen is a great ambassador for the breed. She loves people almost as much as cookies. When we think of dogs swimming, we often think of big dogs. Fun fact: any size dog can swim. We have a smaller pool that is great for small or toy breeds. We often get asked if different types of breeds can or do swim? The short answer is it’s more about the individual than the breed.

We have a fun contest. We will be featuring a dog each month. If you have pics of your dog(s) here “ at Dog Splash” post it in the comments. If you want to describe your dog(s) that’s ok. If you just want to post a pic that’s ok also. The winner will be determined by the most reactions. We don’t count comments just likes hearts laughs etc.
The winner will go on our cover page for the following month (June) and get a pinned post about your dog for the month. You will also win either a $20 gift certificate that is good for June or 1/2 price swims for the month your choice. After you post your pics share the post with your friends so they can vote for you. Good luck. Contest will end May 30th at 5:00 pm. By posting your pic in this contest you give us the right to share on any platform.

3 spots are available in this Friday’s dock diving class at 11 a.m. It’s $40 for the class and it last 1 hour. There are only 4 dogs per class. If it fills we will consider a second at noon. Below is a link to sign up.
