A post better late than never🫶🏼

Our most recent brave kitten, June Bug!!! She was rescued June 5th and brought to us June 6th. She stood out because she was missing the skin on top of head! We knew she needed immediate care and started treatment right away!

After her vet visit, her f***l exam showed 3 different parasites and she also had a ringworm infection around her body. She has been dewormed and her skin treated.

We started talking with a specialist about her head and possible surgery to perform a skin flap to close that area on her head. Of course I was worried because she’s young and little and surgery for a little one like this is always risky!

We proceeded to send out a culture of the skin on her head to start treating with antibiotics and she has been taking oral antibiotics for about 10 days now. We’ve also been applying topical antibiotic cream to her head.

Her surgery was scheduled for 7/6/23 with the specialist but we got GREAT news that the skin on her head was healing good on its own and surgery is NOT needed🙌🏻 SO relieved!!!

Since we’ve had her, she has turned from a frail, scared kitten to a curious, adventurous kitten!! She loves to play with the big cats and climb all over everything!! She is so fun to watch grow🤍

Our newest (and maybe cutest😉) foster, Bugs!!!! He was found by a dumpster😢 we’ve had him for about a week and he is a ball of energy!!! He loves to play, cuddle, and eat!

Our longest foster of 2 years, Tux, has found his FOREVER home!!!! Sweet friends adopted Lovey (now known as Moony) in July and were needing 1 more cat to complete their family!!!

I have been dreaming for the day Tux finds his family for so long! He has the most curious spirit and adventurous personality 😊 I will miss him so much!!!!!

Sam and Faith are the best people I could’ve imagine Tux with!

Stray, feral cat life ——> loved, cherished, cushy house cat life 💙

It’s been a good, but difficult week as we’ve finally caught Buster (the young stray male cat that lives at my apartment) and got him neutered and vetted. He’s very good with people and loves affection and attention but he is definitely taking a little while to adjusting to living indoors. He’s still not sure where to go and what to do but we have a lot of patience with him as he settles in!

He is now neutered, vaccinated, and is FIV/FeLV negative. He’s getting along with the other cats and just seriously loves affection!!! It’s amazing how far he’s come and how sweet his personality is💙

Buster is available for adoption and would be great for anyone who wants a good companion 😇

National Black Cat Appreciation Day IS ONE OF MY FAV DAYS!!!!! Black cats are the best!!! It’s known that black cats are the least adopted from shelters and rescues…. Makes my heart so sad. Black cats are cuddly, personable kitties and deserve this recognition 🖤🖤🖤

This is a familiar face, Jag! He was adopted a few weeks ago and unfortunately brought back to us after his adopter was unable to keep him. He’s been back with us for a couple weeks but sure is missing being the only cat in a house!! He loves one-on-one time and loves affection🤍 he has the sweetest soul and gets along with other cats and doesn’t seem to mind dogs! He would be great in a home that loves cats and loves kitty cuddles🤍

How is this the same kitty?? Olive has made such growth and improvement in just a week and a half! She’s finished with her oral antibiotics and eye meds. She is still receiving topical fungal treatment for her ringworm infection.

Sadly, she is still kenneled due to the highly transmissible infection but home girl is living her best life!!!! She has so many toys to play with and she certainly uses every square inch of her kennel to play 🥰

She’ll be all clean in a few weeks and able to play with her foster brothers and sisters!!🤍

Everyone say hi to Tiger!!! Our newest brave kitten💙

He was born and lived in a barn for the early part of his life and then was rescued by sweet people! Unfortunately they were unable to keep him and needed him taken in.

He’s about 12-15 weeks and will go with me to work tomorrow and get vetted and vaccinated!! Once he’s neutered he will be ready for adoption - hopefully he’ll be neutered this week!

Tiger is friendlier than friendly and will literally start purring when you look at him🥹 he loves affection and loves to play!!! He has such a great personality and is so lovey💙💙

Will update once he’s vetted and FIV/FeLV tested!

My 2nd most favorite post to make: a new addition post!!!

Our newest brave kitten, Olive🫒🤍

Got a text today from an old coworker that a kitten was found and brought in and the person who brought it in couldn’t keep it. She contacted me and with the condition Olive was in, I couldn’t say no!

Poor girl has an URI (upper respiratory infection), tapeworms, fleas, ringworm, and is underweight. She is FIV/FeLV negative.

I’ve known her for about 5 hours and am already in love! She is sick but is still so sweet and loves to be held! She’s a big purr box too🤍

When I was leaving work with her and walking to my car, she looked at me with those “I know I’m safe” eyes and that is why I love what I do. Knowing I can provide a safe house for them and shower them with love is one of my greatest privileges!

She has a lot of recovery and treatment ahead of her, but I have no doubt she won’t be the best and cutest cat ever!!

Once her treatment is completed and she receives her first vaccines, she will be available for adoption!! (~4-6 weeks from now).
