23 Lives Saved This Week! These dogs were once forgotten, neglected, or abandoned—but are now on their way to loving homes. 🚚💗

The dogs we save come from deplorable conditions - neglected, abandoned, and often suffering from injuries or illness. They have no future without this network of shelters, rescues, and fosters working together to give them a second chance. 🐾

Among them, two 10-year-old senior girls who lost their mom and ended up scared and alone in a shelter. Thanks to an amazing foster, they didn’t just find safety—they found a future. 🏡These dogs had no hope until a network of shelters, rescues, and fosters stepped up.

This week, we worked with:

-Florence Lauderdale Animal Services
-Marshall County Animal Services
-Lend-A-Paw
-along with our dedicated Northeast rescue partners

Thank you to our friends at Hood's Pet Express LLC for capturing our special departures today.

This is what rescue is all about. It’s about stepping up when no one else can. It’s about working together—across states, shelters, and organizations—to make sure no animal is left behind.

And at the heart of it all are our **amazing fosters**—people who open not just their homes, but their hearts, knowing that for many of these dogs, it’s a matter of life or death. They love them, heal them, and prepare them for the forever families they so desperately deserve. **They are the reason second chances exist.**

Transformation Thursday! 🐶

We shared photos of Hallie three weeks ago. This sweet girl wandered into someone's yard, probably searching for comfort after being on her own for far too long. Despite battling mange and neglect, Hallie is still full of love. 💕

The first image is of Hallie at intake and the second shows how Hallie looks now. As you can see, it is a long journey to get her healed and healthy.

Hallie's foster mom is happy to report that this sweet girl is doing well! We originally thought that the scarring on her skin might be too severe for the fur to grow back. Now, hair is growing everywhere except for on Hallie's back. Don't worry, her sweaters keep her warm and cozy!

Hallie is clearly surrounded by love now, and will never be neglected again. 🏡

Today, we’re celebrating Maude’s incredible journey thanks to the amazing team at North Alabama Veterinary Orthopedics .

After being hit by a car, Maude found herself injured and in an overcrowded shelter with little hope. But the expert surgeons at NAVO gave her a second chance. Thanks to their skills and kindness, Maude is back on her feet—literally—and thriving in her foster home. 🏡

We’re so grateful for their dedication toward animals like Maude. They truly changed her life, and we couldn’t imagine a happier ending for this special pup. Thank you, North Alabama Veterinary Orthopedics, for being true heroes. 💗Today, we honor you and all the animals whose lives you’ve transformed!

19 Dogs on the Road to a Brighter Future! 🐾*

Today, 19 incredible dogs left the frigid South for the warm embrace of new beginnings in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire! From tiny 10-week-old pups to wise 10-year-old seniors, each one is on the journey of a lifetime—toward loving homes and a second chance. 💕

None of this would be possible without our amazing village. To our dedicated veterinarians, compassionate fosters, tireless volunteers, and the supportive community that surrounds us: THANK YOU.

You are the heartbeat of this mission, and because of you, these dogs now have hope, warmth, and love waiting for them. 🏡

Meet 2-year-old Willow!

She has been a loving and caring mom to her puppies and now it's her turn to be taken care of. Puppies are easier to place, but we could never leave the mom behind.🏡

Her beautiful, brindle coat is SO soft and she loves it when you pet her! She will sprawl out next to you and ask for an entire body rub down.

What we know:
⭐️She has been tested with male and female dogs with no issues.
⭐️Has not yet been tested with cats.
⭐️Has not been crated.
⭐️She walks lovely on a leash and knows 'sit'.
⭐️She will go outside to use the bathroom.
⭐️She is an overall well adjusted girl who is ready for a family of her own.

17 souls headed north! The snow might have delayed their transport but it didn't stop us! 🚚

Thanks to Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter, Huntsville Animal Services, and Marshall County Animal Control Alabama for helping us to get these animals safe! 💗 And Hood's Pet Express LLC for all the care you take loading, unloading, and driving everybody. Our northern rescues taking these animals - thank you for giving them a soft place to land.

As always - without our fosters serving as our Highway Home stops for these animals, we couldn’t make it!

We're desperately trying to get some puppies out of the shelter but the foster homes that we have are full. Here are just a few photos of some of the dogs that need out.

Luna Farms Rescue is fostering this sweet family for Animal Rescue of New England until pups are old enough to travel. They will go to Rhode Island at the end of the month! 🐾💖

Mama Lexi is just incredible- not only is she an attentive mom to her puppies, but she also has a playful side that will melt your heart! Lexi LOVES her toys (she carries them everywhere she goes) and can't get enough of playing ball. Lexi is focused and eager to learn. She has already mastered several commands!

You would never know that these babies were born in the shelter. They are so chunky and healthy. The puppies are 5.5 weeks old and growing fast. We’re already seeing their unique personalities start to shine! 🌟

We know they will all find forever homes when they are ready and can't wait to see those adoption photos!❤️

We have six animals that are safe in foster homes but need a cozy place of their own!

🏡Paco- 5 year old male who is pretty low maintenance but loves to play. Housebroken!
🏡Pepper- 10 month old female cat who is sweet and curious. Litter box trained!
🏡Tenley- 1 year old female who loves to be pet.
🏡Opal- 3 year old female who loves to play outside! Crate trained and housebroken.
🏡Teddy- 12 year old male who is sweet and loving and wants a soft place to sleep. Housebroken!
🏡Junette- 4 year old female who loves walks and car rides! Housebroken.

*If not mentioned, they may still be housebroken but the person posting this didn't know for sure; we just mentioned the ones that we're certain of 😀*

Meet Bailey! He's celebrating Tongue Out Tuesday.🐾

Bailey is a one-year-old lab who’s truly a lab lover’s dream! With his gentle nature and playful energy, he’s ready to bring joy to any home.

This wonderful boy was found curled up on his foster mom's porch after being dumped in a neighborhood. Bailey is a total love bug! He’s become a true velcro dog, always by your side and ready to shower you with kisses. 💕

Bailey is not only dog-friendly but also a perfect fit for families with kids 6 and older. He might be great with younger children as well, but he hasn't been around them before. He’s had a wonderful vet assessment, is up-to-date on his vaccines, is heartworm negative, and mostly potty trained. 🐾 He loves toys and knows some basic commands.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who enjoys walks, cuddles, and playtime, Bailey is your guy! ✨

We have had some tough cases lately so we really needed this happy update! Read about Rocky’s journey from chains in AL to his forever home in PA. 🌟 When Rocky first came to us in February, he needed a lot of TLC. Rocky had been living tied up in an outdoor pen with little to no attention. No vetting, no training, and no love—just a life of isolation and boredom. Thanks to the incredible efforts of his foster mom, Candi, Rocky has made an incredible transformation. ❤️Candi worked tirelessly to teach Rocky not only some manners, but how to trust again—she patiently taught him walk on a leash, become house and crate trained, and discover the joy of being indoors. Rocky learned that he was safe and loved. It wasn't always an easy road, but with patience, consistency, and so much care, Rocky blossomed into the confident pup we see today. 🐾 Foster mom said she couldn't let him go to just anyone—how could you not fall in love with that face after caring for him for 9 months? It wasn't about adopting Rocky out to the first person who applied for him. It had to be the right fit. Candi helped vet the applicants and when the perfect family came along, she KNEW Rocky would be in good hands.🏡 Rocky’s journey from being tied up in a pen to now being showered with love in his forever home shows the true power of animal rescue. It takes a special person to say "yes", step up to foster, and completely transform a dog's life. The pets who need a little patience and a lot of love to find their forever homes are worthy of a chance!💗

We have a gorgeous lab mix named Bo! We're not sure how old he is, but we're guessing around 4 years old. Bo’s foster mom made this video to showcase his incredible skill set. Bo is a delightful bundle of energy and affection, striking the perfect balance between playfulness and obedience. He is well-versed in commands and usually attentive, but sometimes just wants to play❤️ He has excelled at training; just look at everything this good boy can do!
