The American Flagfish is an interesting fish. Not only does it have interesting colors, but it is also quite animated. It is not afraid to jump, so it must be kept in an aquarium with either a lid/hood/canopy or at least a significantly lowered water level. It is a peaceful fish and can live with other peaceful fish and some invertebrate species that thrive in low to moderate water flow.

If you want an interesting new freshwater addition for your tank, here is the Ghost Shrimp. You need to make sure the other inhabitants are friendly before putting him/her in your tank. The Ghost Shrimp is an efficient tank cleaner because it consumes the algae and other wastes in your tank. Ghost Shrimps are expert burrowers that spend their time digging mud. So, a thick substrate is usually kept in the tank of this crustacean. This shrimp is also known as Glass Shrimp and Eastern Grass Shrimp. This crustacean always lives in a group, so try to keep 2-4 Ghost Shrimps in an aquarium.

The Thai Devil Crab is pretty interesting because it can live on land, freshwater and saltwater. They prefer land so it is best to have a tank that is 90% land. Because they can get big in size, a 15 gallon tank is the minimum size tank you'll want. If you have more than one, of course you will want a larger tank. They can live between 5-15 years.

Dogface puffer fish is a saltwater species. They are like most other puffer species fish that has a lot of character and personality which often gives them a special place in the heart of their keepers. Juvenile dogface puffer fish should only be kept with more timid non aggressive species since they otherwise can become very shy and stop eating.

If you're interested in an unusual fish that looks a little exotic but isn't, meet the Banjo Catfish! It is known for its unique features as well as being a good scavenger. They're also a little lazy. They have a wide, flat head and a long, slender body, so it is shaped much like a banjo with little horns, or spines, protruding from various places along the body.

The Tiger Tail Cucumber, also known as the Sand Sifting Sea Cucumber, are easy to care for, reef safe, and hardy. They have a red body and white horn-like protrusions. They will feed on algae, pellets, diatoms, and meaty foods. The Tiger Tail is an excellent sand sifter as it will clean the sand of all excess foods and help aerate it at the same time. The are best housed in tanks with thick sand beds and rock hiding places.

If you are looking for something good for your , think about the Assassin Snail! They will get rid of unwanted pest snails and eliminate the need to use harsh, snail-killing chemicals in your aquarium. They are amazingly adept at handling a multitude of populations of pond snails. They're also affordable. As an added bonus, they're pretty!

It's important that when you are feeding your fish that you aren't OVERfeeding them. It can cause all kinds of problems such high ammonia and nitrates, low oxygen levels, low pH levels, fin rot, fatty liver, improper digestion, algae bloom, cloudy water, mold, flat worms and clogged filters.

More is better right? Well, it is important to not overcrowd your tank. Who wants to live in overcrowded quarters? It can cause aggression and disease. It can also cause stunted growth. You want your fish to thrive and not live a poor, unhappy life. Make sure you have the right size tank for the amount of fish you're keeping!
