SHSU Horsemen's Association The Collegiate Horsemen's Association was developed to facilitate horse enthusiasts who are interested in extra-curricular equine activities.

This page will provide up to date information on our Ranch Horse Team, Judging Team or anything else that might be going on in our Equine Science Department.

Hey SHSU students! If you are interested in bettering your horsemanship skills while making new friends, join our team!

What we do:
-Practice twice per week
-Participate in local ranch horse shows
-Volunteer for local horse judging competitions

What you need:
-Access to a horse you can consistently ride throughout the semester

Informational Meeting:
-When: Tuesday, Sept. 5th
-Time: 6:00 pm
-Where:
Indoor Arena Classroom
2500 Ave M
Huntsville, Tx 77340

Tryout:
-When: Thursday, Sept. 7th
-Time: 6:00 pm
-Where: Same as meeting

Miss Tyler Klesel represented the Sam Houston State University Stock Horse Team well by winning the WT Adult overall for the day at NavaRio! Huge congratulations are in order for this team as they have been working hard all semester and have accomplished a great goal.

Jeremy has trained and coached riders to achieve multiple year end championships and World placements in Ranch Riding, Ranch Trial, and Ranch Reining. Find your three best friends and enjoy a 2 hour clinic with Jeremy Dull at his facility in Magnolia, TX. He will share his experience and techniques to master horse and rider softness and communication that helps riders better understand what their body is really asking the horse to do. Work patterns and obstacles that improve communication and can really have a positive impact on how your horse performs. Jeremy has trained and coached riders to achieve multiple year end championships and World placements in Ranch Riding, Ranch Trial, and Ranch Reining. He himself has achieved multiple World Championships and earnings in multiple ranch horse associations. Maximum 4 riders (no minimum). Overnight stalls available at an additional charge. Clinic length can be extended for an additional charge.
