Wow! What an amazing way to end our 2024 show season! We had a huge weekend, gave away some fun prizes, had the best exhibitors and volunteers, and really got in the Halloween spirit! Thank you so much to everyone involved we couldn’t do it without you! We will see you all in 2025!

Here is the Dressage schedule for Friday. Please be ready for your test at your assigned time!

Following dressage, we will take down the court and have our Costume Class parade! Please be ready for that by 12:30!

After the costume parade we will have about 30 minutes to get out of your costumes and get ready for the English flat classes. The arena will be open for warm up at this time.

We still have a ton of volunteer positions open. Please visit shows.colorcountryequestrianclub.net and click the “volunteer” tab at the top to get signed up!

🎃 Our last HJD and Open Horse Shows are coming up this weekend! Head on over to shows.colorcountryequestrianclub.net to get registered! Remember that the deadline to sign up for dressage is Wednesday October 23rd. But you can sign up for any other classes at any time 😉

🎃 While you’re there, click the “Volunteer“ link at the top of the page, and sign up to volunteer 🙏🏻. There are a ton of positions open still, and this is your last opportunity to get those hours in for year end!

🎃 If you need a stall, you will need to go to ccecopen.jubileetix.com from there you can purchase your stall, RV spot, or extra shavings. Please keep in mind that these things are NON REFUNDABLE!

🎃 We are giving away some more awesome prizes this month for our High Point winners and Costume Class winners. We will also be doing the back number drawing again. You’re not gonna want to miss these shows! See you there 😘

Now is a great time to clean out your tack room before winter, because we are hosting a Tack Sale Fundraiser!

Please bring any tack, horse show clothing, or other horse related items you’d like to donate! All proceeds will go towards HJD and Open!

This will be a silent auction, with a “buy now” option! So come ready to do some shopping!

👻 Need ideas for the costume classes? We’ve got you covered!

🎃 Sign up for the Costume Class on Friday or Saturday (or both), and you could win some awesome prizes! These are jackpot classes, so the overall winners will win some cash 💵! We will also be awarding prizes for Most Creepy, Silliest Costume, Best Handmade, and Cutest Costume! You can also ride in your costume in on of your dressage tests on Friday if you like!

If you need a Stall or RV spot for Thursday or Friday night, you will need to go to https://ccecopen.jubileetix.com/ to purchase. This link works whether you’re showing HJD or Open (or both).

❗️Stalls, RV Spots, and Shavings are NON REFUNDABLE. So if you’re unsure whether or not you’ll be needing a stall, RV spot, or shavings, you may want to wait until closer to the show to purchase 😘

The show office will be open from 6pm-7pm Thursday night for any last minute stalls that need to be opened. If you purchase your stall ahead of time it will already be open for you and tagged with your name on it.

Our LAST HJD and Open Horse Shows of 2024 are a month away! We hope you’re in the Halloween spirit, because this is going to be a fun and spooky weekend!

🧡 New this year! We will be having a costume contest at BOTH the HJD and the Open show!

🎃 Sign up for the Costume Class at the bottom of the sign up sheets. These are both jackpot classes so the overall winner is going to win some money! We will also be giving away prizes for Most Creepy, Silliest Costume, Best Handmade, and Cutest Costume!

👻 The costume classes will run during the lunch break on Friday and Saturday, but we’re also giving you the opportunity to show in your costume if you’re entered in a dressage test on Friday! (Please make sure your costume is safe and rideable if you choose to do this!)

🖤 The deadline to sign up for Dressage is Wednesday October 23rd.

Our Judge for this weekends RWC show is Bob Grant, from Camp Verde!

Bob is an NRCHA judge who judged for us last year, and we’re so excited he’s coming back! He was as the 2021 NRCHA World Show Champion in the Ltd Open Bridle Class and in the same year was 2nd and 3rd place…Yes, he placed 1st-3rd on different horses the same year at the World Show!

He is also incredibly accomplished, and well trained in all versatility classes and reining. He is an incredible horseman, coach, and judge

Here is the Dressage Schedule for Friday, please be ready to ride at your assigned time!

At the end of Dressage we will need help taking down the court so we can get ready for the English flat classes. Then at the end of the English flat classes we will need even more help with jump set up so please pitch in!

Today is your LAST day to enter in Dressage for the HJD show on Friday! All other classes can be entered at any time. The Dressage Schedule will be sent out tomorrow morning, so keep an eye out for that. Go to shows.colorcountryequestrianclub.net to register!

While you’re there, please sign up to volunteer! We still need to fill the following spots:
Friday - PM Announcer, PM Scribe
Saturday - AM & PM Announcer, PM Back Gate, AM Ring Steward

We will be setting up the dressage court at 7am Friday morning, if you’re free please come help!!

Did you know that our Open Horse Show offers a variety of Ranch Classes?!

We have Ranch Rail Pleasure, Ranch Riding, and Ranch Trail! For all ages and skill levels, from Walk/Trot to Green Horse, from Youth to Amateur to Open riders.

Our shows are a great place for anyone to gain experience or just school your horse, for a very affordable price. And they’re just fun! What’s not to love?!

If you’re looking for a place to put your Ranching skills to the test, come join us at our Open Horse Show this weekend (August 24th) in Cedar City, UT at the Cross Hollows Arena!

From there you can also find the link to the volunteer sign up page. We need tons of help to make these shows possible, and you need 8 hours of volunteer time to qualify for year end. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone in the club to get those hours done, and help make our shows a success!

What an incredible weekend at the horse show! A huge thank you to all our amazing competitors for giving it their all, to the supportive spectators who came out to watch, and to our hardworking volunteers— we couldn’t have done it without you! It was wonderful meeting new members and making new friends. Here’s to more great times ahead! 🌟

A note from show management for Hunter/Jumper/Dressage: 1️⃣ Please make sure you have read and understand the CCEC rules. HJD consists of three pages. (Find them here 👉 https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1xt4aHRsuw_05GLgsWRIC78IOotV_EmYXYiCr4ML1AYg/mobilebasic ) 2️⃣ Weather permitting, dressage will start in outdoor arena at 9 a.m. and jumping will start in the indoor arena at 11 a.m. 3️⃣ If you are riding in jumper classes, please be aware that the format used for scoring is up to the judge, as stated in the rules. Thanks so much!

Today we want to highlight our PONIED LEAD LINE class! If your child has outgrown the standard lead line class (where they are lead by someone on foot), but don't feel quite ready to show on their own in walk/trot or other youth classes, the ponied lead line is a great stepping stone. In this rail class they are asked to walk and trot while being ponied by a mounted adult. It is the perfect confidence builder! This class is offered at our Open shows, where there is an array of youth and adult English, Western, and Ranch-style flat classes to choose from.
