We welcomed 3 new goats to our herd this weekend! These girls are very near and dear to our hearts. They come from our very very close friend Vicki. Each girl is settling in nicely and loving their new forever home ❤️

Exciting things have happened at Honey Dew Acres in the last week! First we welcomed two new goats! Leo and Saline!! Leo comes from Old Mountain Farm bloodlines which is like the royal family of the registered world! How lucky are we?! The babies are doing good! Most of them are sold already, we have 4 mommas left to kid who are not wanting to give up the hostages!

Pumpkins! 🎃 they are staple item for fall! For us they are a fun treat at Honey Dew AcAcres. When spooky season is over with and your pumpkins are all done with we would love to take them off your hands! They must be untreated though. The toxins can harm our goats! Let us know when you’re done with your pumpkins, but for now I have a few facts for y’all!

🎃 the word “pumpkin” appeared for the first time in the fairytale Cinderella in the 17th century.
🎃 they are grown on every continent except Antarctica
🎃 over 1.5 billion pounds are produced in the USA each year!
🎃 the worlds largest pumpkin was weighted at over 2,600 pounds! 😱

🎃 lastly our goats love pumpkins!!!!!!

We finally jumped on the little tikes bandwagon! We bought a play house, slide, table and a few other things for a good price yesterday! Goats are very very skittish but hopefully they will warm up! Can’t wait till we have babies and they climb on the items!

More introductions!! We have added 6 new girls to our herd. They have been in quarantine and slowly worked into the herd. They still chose to be off by themselves but are slowly getting better at mingling among the others!
