🐦3 Tips for when your bird buddy is molting.
Give them lots of time to rest, offer them baths (spraying them with water, or laying out extra bowls for bathing), make sure they're getting enough food and nutrition (this is the best time to be giving your bird veggies if you dont on a regular basis). If your bird is having trouble molting, stop in and ask an associate for more help.

🪲Why is gutloading your feeder insects good?
If you're giving your reptile insects that have not been eating or eating well, they will not contain nutrients that your reptile needs. Hence, a hungry bug is an empty bug.
🪲How do I feed them?
Feeding them at least an hour before you give them to your reptile buddy ensures your insects' bellies will be full of nutrients, ready for your reptile.
Otherwise, you can give your insects their own dish of food that you can keep in their container/critter tote. Just remember to change fresh food daily.
🪲What do I feed them?
Some good options are pumpkin, carrot, and celery. You can give orange, banana, and apple in moderation. Ask an associate for more details about safe gut loading food for feeder insects.

Ways to keep your feeder insects (mealworms/dubia roaches) alive longer.... 🪲
Use oats as a substrate (just plain rolled oats), give them your leftovers (banana, apple, orange, carrot), make sure that they have a water source or make sure your misting them, give them a large enough space.
